LED light therapy ✨

Just two weeks between these photos.

This client has a pre-existing diagnosis of psoriasis and has been having regular LED sessions with me. We’re already seeing a visible change in the appearance of redness and scaling, with the skin looking calmer overall.

Red and near-infrared LED uses specific wavelengths of light to support normal skin processes.

If you’d like to know whether LED may be appropriate for your skin, you’re welcome to book a consultation or send me a DM.

Photos shared with client consent. Individual responses vary. LED is not a substitute for medical assessment or management of psoriasis.

Caught my partner using my Airyday šŸ˜‚

Apparently my LED mask is no longer my LED mask…
🐶Remi also has questions

And yes… LED is for the men too

The Airyday Bright On LED Mask gives you the option to use red, blue and near-infrared light individually, or in combination, depending on what your skin needs.

Red light; supports collagen production, skin rejuvenation and overall skin health
Blue light; helps target acne-causing bacteria, making it a great option for breakout-prone skin
Near-infrared; penetrates deeper to support skin repair, recovery and inflammation.

So whether you’re focusing on skin rejuvenation, breakouts, inflammation, recovery or a bit of everything; you can choose the LED setting to suit.

10 minutes at home - or apparently while doing a bit of bedtime reading

Available at Venus Medispa for $549

It starts with a consultation 🧔

Before we talk about treatment, I want to understand what’s brought you in and what you’re hoping to discuss.

Then I’ll assess your face, talk you through what I’m seeing and give you my recommendations. There’s never a one-size-fits-all treatment plan.

For me, it’s always about keeping things subtle, balanced and natural.

Not sure where to start? That’s exactly what the consultation is for

Hair restoration progress

Results following just one Exomide scalp treatment.

At follow-up, we’re already seeing a visible improvement in the appearance of hair density through the crown, with further treatments planned as part of the treatment course.

Exomide scalp treatments are designed to support scalp health and hair growth, with each treatment plan tailored following consultation and assessment.

Back from CC26… and wow, what a weekend it was. 🧔

Over the last few days I had the opportunity to learn from some incredible clinicians from Australia, New Zealand, Brazil and the UK through lectures, live demonstrations and hands-on workshops. We covered topics ranging from facial anatomy and patient safety to skin health, treatment planning and refining injection techniques.

I came home with pages of notes, heaps of ideas, and plenty to reflect on.

One of the speakers, Dr Ania Smialkowski, said something over the weekend that has really stayed with me:

ā€œI may not save lives anymore, but I change lives.ā€

Coming from a PICU background, that really resonated with me. Cosmetic nursing is very different to intensive care, but being able to make a positive difference in someone’s confidence and wellbeing is something I don’t take for granted.

This was actually my first cosmetic conference, and I’m so glad I decided to go. I pushed myself to get involved, asked lots of questions, joined in the discussions, and even ended up being recognised during the conference for my engagement. It reminded me that sometimes the best thing you can do is be curious, ask questions and get involved.

I also loved meeting and chatting with so many passionate clinicians. It’s always refreshing to be surrounded by people who genuinely love what they do and who are committed to continually learning and improving.

A huge thank you to the team, all of the speakers, and everyone involved in making CC26 such an incredible weekend.

Now it’s time to bring everything I’ve learnt back to Gladstone and into the clinic. See you soon.

This weekend I’ll be attending the Juv’ae Cosmetic Collective Conference (CC26) on the Gold Coast.

Over three days, I’ll be joining cosmetic nurses, doctors, and industry leaders from across Australia for education, workshops, and professional development.

The cosmetic industry is constantly evolving, and I believe in staying up to date with current evidence, techniques, and best practices. I’m looking forward to bringing what I learn back to Venus Medispa and continuing to provide high-quality, personalised care to our Gladstone community.

Please note the clinic will be closed from Saturday 20 June while I attend the conference, with appointments resuming on Wednesday 24 June.

Thank you for your continued support 🧔

One of the biggest misconceptions I hear is:

ā€œIf I have cosmetic treatments, I won’t look like myself anymore.ā€

The reality is that good aesthetic treatment shouldn’t change who you are… It should enhance what is already there.

That’s why I take a full-face approach rather than focusing on a single feature in isolation. When assessing a face, I’m looking at balance, proportions, support and overall harmony.

The goal isn’t to create a different face. It’s to bring balance and support to the features you already have.

Often, the most beautiful results come from subtle refinements across multiple areas rather than dramatic changes to one feature alone.

Subtle. Balanced. Natural.

That’s always the goal.

You can’t pour from an empty cup.

A gentle reminder that taking care of yourself isn’t selfish.

Rest.
Recovery.
Hydration.
Movement.
Nourishment.

The little things matter.

At Venus Medispa, we’re passionate about supporting our clients to look and feel their best - inside and out.

Because wellness isn’t just about how you look…

It’s about how you feel 🧔

Every face is different, which is why treatment plans should never be one-size-fits-all.

Following a personalised consultation and treatment plan, we focused on creating subtle improvements while maintaining natural facial harmony.

One of my favourite parts of this result is that she still looks completely like herself.

Many people worry that cosmetic treatments will make them look different or unnatural. My goal is always to achieve subtle, balanced results that enhance your natural features rather than change them.

Individual results will vary and treatment suitability is assessed during consultation.
