Our Christmas party looked a little different this year… 🎄✨

We decided to test our survival skills at The Way Out Escape Rooms in Gladstone… and honestly, it was the best decision we could have made.

We kicked things off with Dr’s Demons, which we barely escaped from. I also discovered a fun fact about myself: the moment the lights go out, my loyalty disappears and I’m fully prepared to sacrifice Maddi for the greater good. (Sorry Maddi, it’s fight-or-flight and I clearly choose “flight” 😂)

Next up was Tekapo Temple, a room that required more brainpower than our combined Christmas-party brains could offer. With the help of a few hints (fine… several), we made it out! Did we leave the treasure behind even though we were supposed to take it? Yes. Did we proudly celebrate anyway? Also yes. 🤣

But honestly, the biggest part of the whole experience was The Way Out themselves.
Thank you so much for hosting us and making our Christmas party feel so special. Your passion, creativity, and attention to detail made the whole experience unforgettable. The rooms were immersive, clever, beautifully put together, and an absolute blast from start to finish.

We felt so welcomed, supported, and looked after, even when we were panicking in the dark or forgetting literal treasure. 😂
You made our day memorable in the best way, and we’re so grateful for the fun, laughter, and chaos you created for us.

We can’t wait to come back and take on the next rooms… even if it takes me multiple attempts and a few more “sorry Maddi” sacrifices. 😉
