But underneath the overshare 😂 there’s actually a reason I’m loving less restrictive clothing.

Your lymphatic system doesn’t have a central pump like your heart. Normal lymph movement is supported by movement, muscle contractions and breathing - something worth remembering if you spend most of your day sitting at a desk or in a sedentary job.

Super-tight bras, underwear, shapewear and clothing can create localised pressure, discomfort and restrict movement. That doesn’t mean your underwire is literally “blocking your lymph” or causing lymphatic dis-ease. But if something is painfully tight, leaving deep marks or restricting movement, giving your body some breathing room can feel a whole lot better.

And if you’ve been in my studio, you’ll know I teach you what you can do at home BETWEEN appointments too🫶🏼

Movement. Breathing. Lymph Activation, Simple self-care techniques. Because what you do between appointments matters too 🌊

MASTECTOMY MASSAGE & CARE — INTRO TRAINING COMPLETE

Four days of 4am learning, real conversations, practical skills and a whole lot of purpose 🫶🏼

This training reinforced exactly WHY this work matters - trauma-informed care, safe touch, consent, connection and seeing the whole person, not just what has happened to their body.

And this care is for ALL people.
Women. Men. Transgender, non-binary and gender-diverse people.
Different bodies. Different journeys. Same deserving of care 🧡

There’s also a piece of Mum in this journey. After watching her navigate Stage 4 breast cancer, multiple chest surgeries and a double mastectomy, before passing away, I wish I knew then what I’m learning now.

So this isn’t simply another service for JDeez.

It’s personal. It’s purposeful. And it’s only the beginning.
