EMFACE® Cheeks + Forehead | 6 Treatments
Sometimes the most noticeable results are the ones people can’t quite identify.
Following a course of 6 EMFACE® treatments, we can appreciate:
• Improved brow position
• Better cheek support
• A more refreshed appearance
• Natural-looking rejuvenation without added volume
Facial ageing is multifactorial, which is why treatment plans often involve more than one modality. In this case, EMFACE® was used to improve facial support and muscle tone, while additional skin treatments were performed to improve overall skin quality and radiance.
Every face ages differently. A personalised assessment helps determine the most appropriate treatment plan for your individual concerns and goals.

A FOLD DOESN’T EXIST ON ITS OWN.
When patients look in the mirror, they often point to a specific line, fold or feature they would like to improve.
But a fold doesn’t exist on its own.
It sits within a face that is constantly changing.
The surrounding skin.
The neighbouring tissues.
The transitions between one area and the next.
Sometimes the goal is not to chase a line.
It’s to understand why it appears more noticeable in the first place.
When I look at this result, I don’t just see a softer fold.
I see smoother transitions, healthier-looking skin and a face that appears fresher overall.
Because natural results are rarely about treating one feature alone.

THE BEST RESULTS ARE RARELY ONE-DIMENSIONAL.
When people look at before-and-after photos, they often focus on the most obvious change.
In this case, that may be the improvement in pigmentation.
But when I look at this result, I see more than that.
I see healthier-looking skin.
I see improved skin texture.
I see better lower-face definition.
I see less fullness beneath the chin.
And I see a fresher overall appearance.
This is one of the reasons I enjoy treating the face. Improvements rarely happen in isolation.
Sometimes the most meaningful change isn’t one specific feature.
It’s how the face looks as a whole.

The lips are one of the most individual features of the human face.
Their shape is influenced by anatomy, movement, proportions, structure and the way each person naturally expresses emotion.
This is why there is no single “perfect” lip shape.
What appears balanced and harmonious on one face may look completely unnatural on another.
Modern facial aesthetics is gradually shifting away from copying trends and toward understanding individuality, facial harmony and natural movement.
Sometimes the most beautiful lips are simply the ones that still look authentic to the face they belong to.

Can facial aesthetic health be measured?
A recent paper published in Cureus introduced a proposed concept called the Beauty Health Index (BHI) — a framework exploring whether facial aesthetic health could one day be assessed more holistically.
Interestingly, medicine already uses measurable markers for many aspects of health:
• cardiovascular health
• metabolic function
• sleep quality
• stress and inflammation
Yet facial aesthetic health is still largely assessed through isolated features such as:
• wrinkles
• pigmentation
• symmetry
• contour and volume loss
The proposed BHI framework suggests facial ageing may involve multiple interconnected factors including:
• skin quality
• facial movement and expression
• tissue regeneration
• circulation and collagen support
• lifestyle and environmental influences
The idea is not to create a “beauty score,” but to explore whether facial ageing and tissue health could eventually be assessed in a more structured and comprehensive way.
As aesthetic medicine evolves, the focus may gradually shift beyond isolated treatments toward broader facial health, longevity and tissue quality over time.

One thing I’m hearing more and more from younger patients:
“Why does my lower face suddenly feel heavier?”
Interestingly, many people notice this before deeper wrinkles even appear.
Ageing is not only about the skin.
Posture, gravity, muscle tension and the way we hold our face every day may also influence how the lower face sits and moves over time.
Hours spent looking down at phones and laptops may contribute to:
• forward head posture
• increased neck and jaw tension
• stronger downward pull through the lower face
• reduced muscular support and balance
Most people don’t realise that facial muscles attach directly into the skin — meaning the muscles underneath may also influence facial shape, support and facial movement over time.
This is one reason why modern aesthetic approaches are increasingly looking beyond skin alone.
Depending on the individual, treatment approaches may involve:
• improving facial muscle support
• relaxing downward-pulling muscles
• supporting facial structure and balance
• improving skin quality
• posture and movement awareness
Sometimes the issue is support — not size.
A personalised consultation can help assess what may be contributing.

Modern ageing is becoming less about “fixing wrinkles”
— and more about understanding what changes the face over time.
Stress.
Posture.
Muscle tension.
Sleep.
Inflammation.
Skin quality.
Movement patterns.
Facial support.
The face remembers more than we think.

Lip assessment involves consideration of:
• facial proportions
• natural anatomy
• symmetry
• lip movement
• tissue quality and hydration
Natural lip aesthetics are often focused on proportion, balance and harmony rather than volume alone.
Every face and lip shape is different, which is why treatment approaches should always be individualised.
