3 weeks post surgery!

No filters - no hair and makeup squad behind the scenes and no visible scarring either !

It's not a walk in the park and there are very challenging moments and complications, risk with all procedures.

But for me this risk was worth restoring my low self-esteem and self worth.

I am still dealing with trauma , grief and regret of things left unsaid or undone, but this has helped feel better about myself and the hormonal changes just needed to be addressed.

Trying to make sense of my life changing events and blamed myself that I just wasn't good enough to be loved and protected from the hate and negativity around us.

I’m back exploring the amazing city Ho Chi Minh, in Vietnam 🇻🇳.

Being a solo tourist, has its ups and downs but at times like this you don't want to feel alone.

It's been almost a year since I had any anti-wrinkle injections or fillers done.

Though the crows feet, frown lines and forehead lines started showing up, I felt that non-surgical treatments didnt deliver the results I wanted lately and the risk of heaviness above my brows and cheeks made things look worse.

Fillers can’t lift and adding Botox can create more sagging skin after a certain age.

I want everything elevated not going south or horizontal.

So here I am, back to see my favourite surgeon that always takes the time to consult with me himself and greets me with a smile, making me feel welcomed.

I was a little conservative last time and didnt address my upper face and eye area out of fear of the unknown until I did further research.

So many of you keep asking about my swelling 3 months post-surgery… so here’s an update with fresh photos from today.

Last time I had Botox was May 2025 - $600 later 💸 so I’m currently Botox-free… for now 🤷‍♀️

Botox usually lasted about 3 months for me and the results were never consistent in the last few years.

What shocked me was discovering that thanks to menopause, my oestrogen level dropped to 0.1 while my cortisol which is the stress hormone, shot through the roof 🚀

🥵 hot flashes
😳 and a whole lot of confusion with those moon swings 🤷‍♀️

A little update on my healing journey, 4 weeks post op.
I had few people message me about their emotional experience post surgery and their doubts if they made a mistake.
I was the same and for the first 4 days I was crying and trembling at the doctors thinking that I made a huge mistake 🥺
It’s normal to feel fear of the unknown result.

The healing process takes time and each individuals case is different so our recovery will also be different.

Trust the process and look after your skin with heaps of moisture and the best serums you can afford.

There still is some swelling around my ears as expected but very grateful with my fine and flat incision scars and I can’t see anything in the hairline
