🌸 Joy 🌸

One of the first oils I received and one I hold closest to my heart.
It radiates feminine beauty, it’s sensual and soulful, warm and sweet, and damn right divine 🌺

Apart from the obvious non toxic alternative to perfume for your skin, when inhaled it brings you the feeling of love and being loved, opening those blocks where perhaps we have shut down to giving or receiving love (including love for yourself ❤️).
When there is grief, the adenoids and the adrenal glands shut down; the beautiful complimentary blend of oils in Joy opens these glands ☀️

A few of my favourite oils in this heart warming blend include ones that help with hormonal balance;
Bergamot (also soothing to the endocrine system) and Geranium (also releases toxins from the liver)

But the oil included that really draws me in is Rose 🌷
It has been used topically for thousands of years and for good reason. It’s sweet, rich aroma encourages feelings of positive self reflection and when inhaled has an intoxicating aroma as beautiful as the flower itself ❤️
Young Living Rose oil is steam distilled to gently release the delicate flower’s oil.
One 5ml bottle of Rose oil requires 22 pounds of Rose petals, which is why it’s one of the most valuable single oils you can acquire and one of the reasons the Joy blend is such a special daily gift to yourself 💕

❤️ Rescue Remedy ❤️

Even the healthiest of immune systems get invalid by the dreaded flu.. after years of avoiding it, this week it was my turn.
I went from all the delightful symptoms of thinking my body was shutting down, to completely full of beans, back to work and my normal self again within 48hours.
I think pharmaceuticals have their place, but why wouldn’t you give your body a natural, immune boosting, sickness fighting alternative? 💪🏻
For me it worked quicker, more effectively and didn’t leave me with the yucky toxic aftermath 🙌🏼

💫 Frankincense.
Such a stimulating aroma that has a sweet honey-like and woody scent. An incredible oil that has many uses, but very effective for people with asthma, headaches, respiratory problems and mental fatigue. I personally have used Frankincense for yoga and meditation and it completely changes my active brain and puts me in a deep relaxation i had never experienced before 🙏

💫 R.C oil blend.
The properties in this blend make it extremely effective against allergies, colds, bronchitis, sinusitis and the flu.
I used this in my defuser and I was clear breathing all night. I also applied one drop on my hand, rubbed to warm through and applied to my chest and back. It’s 100 times more effective than a well known vapour rub, but it’s completely chemical free 💪🏻

💫 Thieves oil blend.
My ultimate home cleaning life saver.
A powerful combination of Lemon, Clove, Eucalyptus, Rosemary and other oils that fills and space with a rich, spicy aroma. It’s so delicious your home will smell like Christmas baked goods, rather than harsh cleaning formulas 😍
The highly antiviral and antiseptic properties of the single oils contained in this blend help protect the body from the onsite of flu.. I may have bought the bug into my home but I stopped it spreading to my family!
*note to self, start cleaning with Theives more regularly 😉

🍃Peppermint🍃

The culinary range from Young Living has to be the most amazing for me.
The fact that I can infuse almost every meal with something so pure, powerful and mind blowing delicious is so awesome, with the added bonus of the health and medicinal values 😍
I’ve compared other peppermint oils and nothing compares to this. It’s so true to the plant without any of the synthetic undertones of added carrier oils.
Peppermint is an invigorating scent that both soothes and awakens, making it perfect after exercise. It’s so potent that I add one drop into a litre water bottle that keeps me minty fresh all day and focused 🙌🏼
I’ve recently had a few friends try peppermint for digestive issues, who have all come back with positive feedback ❤️ The benefits are endless.

🍋 Lemon 🍋
This oil is so versatile, I actually can’t believe how many different ways there are for using it. The biggest fun fact though is how it’s made..
Unlike other oils that are steamed distilled, YL Lemon essential oil is extracted through the fruit peel using a cold pressed extraction method and is 100% pure, with no fillers or additives. It takes 3,000 lemons to produce 1 kilo of oil 😮 That’s a lot of love and effort in a tiny bottle!
A few of my favourite ways of using Lemon;
🍋 Add 1 drop into your night cream for a silky smooth complexion (and you smell edible 😉)
🍋 Take cleaning to another level by adding a few drops to natural cleaning products (it works extremely well at removing grease, oil and wood stain)
🍋 Just 1 drop in a litre of water makes sculling the wet stuff easier and enjoyable!
🍋 Eliminates sore throats! 🙌🏼

Unpleasant odours..
This week it came to me in the form of Chikka indulging in a late night snack involving squid bait. It’s as glorious as it sounds 🤭
Thank goodness for my defuser and my new blend 🍃Purification 🍃
The individual oils in this blend have powerful antiseptic, antibacterial, anti fungal and sanitising properties. It purifies and cleanses bacteria in the air and leaves you with the aroma of Lemongrass, Myrtle and Tea Tree, not squid breath 😊🙌🏼
It’s worth a mention too that I had a run in with a green ant recently who went to town on my neck. A drop or 2 of this amazing stuff took the sting out instantly, so it’s a fantastic one to keep in the first aid box as it neutralises poison from bites/ sterilises wounds and cuts 👍🏼
Peace is restored and my home now smells like this picture of a divine tea tree plantation 🌸

So stoked with my starter pack 😍 There were so many other goodies in the bag, I don’t know where to begin.
If you are as skeptical as I was at the start, I totally get in. Yes, they smell divine but do they actually work?
Archie’s gone from non stop hypo to chilled, with deep conversations, all the love and interest into what Mumma is doing (making his own blends, the ultimate raw vegan mint choc mousse we can’t eat enough of 🤤), awesome starts to our day and sleep like never before 🙌🏼
