One thing I hear all the time in the salon:
“Uhhh… I love it, but it looks too dark in the jar!” 😅
What many clients don’t realise is that gel products can look completely different in the pot compared to how they look once applied on the nail. The product inside the jar is a thick mass with depth and shadow, so the colour often appears darker, brighter, or more intense than it actually is.
Once the gel is spread evenly in thin layers across the nail, the true tone comes through. Softer, lighter, more transparent, or sometimes even completely different than expected.
This is why trusting your nail tech matters.
We work with these products every single day and usually know exactly how a colour will turn out once cured and finished.

Looking back, I honestly can’t believe how far this journey has come. I started with little confidence, only 1–2 clients a week, and nail sets that took me 4 hours to complete.

Today, my business is thriving, and now I’m ready to pass my knowledge onto the younger generation through education and mentoring. That is something younger me could only dream of.

None of this would have been possible without my loyal clients who supported me every step of the way. Thank you for trusting me with your nails, recommending me to others, cheering me on, and growing with me over the last 10 years.
