Sometimes when the body relaxes and tension softens during massage or lymphatic drainage, tears can happen too.ā”
ā”ā”
ā”I don't spend time analysing what it means. My role is simply to provide a safe and supportive space while you receive your treatment.ā”
ā”ā”
ā”You showed up for yourself and that deserves a pat on the backā¤
Not all lymphatic treatments look the same because every body tells a different story.
This client has been through a double mastectomy, with scar tissue complicated by recurrence and radiation. The result was very firm, restrictive tissue, fluid buildup, and a feeling of tightness through the chest wall that limited her movement.
Through regular lymphatic-focused treatments, weāve been working to:
šReduce fluid congestion around the axillary and scar regions
šImprove tissue mobility and soften restriction
šRestore functional movement ā like being able to twist her torso again
An interesting side benefit? ā”
ā”Sheās also experienced significantly less abdominal bloating, which previously had her visiting the GP quite oftenš ā”
ā”This highlights the connection between the gut-lymph axis ā how lymphatic stagnation can influence digestive function and abdominal symptoms.
She does her own self-care in between sessions, and we use these treatments as ongoing support and maintenance.
Lymphatic drainage isnāt just about moving fluid. Itās about understanding how stagnation in the body can affect mobility, comfort, and even seemingly unrelated symptoms.
Depending on your needs, my sessions may include:
šBreathwork
šGentle joint mobilisation & stretching
šScar-focused techniques (including kinesiotape or low-level laser)
šTargeted manual therapy
Every treatment is tailored because your body, history, and goals are unique.
If youāre dealing with swelling, tightness, post-surgical changes, or unexplained discomfort, this approach may be worth exploring.ā”

My client had knee surgery in early December and came to see me to support her recovery last week.
Nearly two months later, swelling was still present and her knee flexion was limited to 90°. She felt stuck and frustrated with the slow progress.
We focused on lymphatic drainage to help reduce fluid congestion, along with gentle scar support using cold laser therapy and remedial massage to the surrounding tissues.
After the first session, the swelling reduced and her flexion improved to 108° (+18°. Measured by her physio).
After two sessions over four days, the swelling continued to reduce.
Sometimes recovery plateaus not because youāre not doing enough but because fluid congestion and tissue restriction are still present. When we support lymphatic flow and address surrounding tissue tension, the body often responds in its own time.
Every body heals differently. My work is here to support recovery ā not replace medical care.
If youāre recovering from surgery and feel like your progress has stalled, DM or call/text 0401 037 637 and letās see how we can support your next step.

This lovely client has been caring for her recovery beautifully. In the early stages, she wore a compression bra and has been using silicone tape to support healing and soften her scars.
Our first stage of treatment focused on lymphatic drainage to reduce swelling and encourage fluid movement. Now, weāre continuing with scar release and targeted lymphatic work in areas where fluid still tends to build up.
To support this phase, Iāve added Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) ā a gentle infrared light that helps soften tight scar tissue, reduce inflammation, and promote healing without pain or irritation.
Each session is tailored to your bodyās unique recovery stage and comfort levelāŗļø
Results may vary depending on individual healing and health background.
If you're recovering from surgery or notice tightness or swelling, lymphatic and scar work can make a difference.

As I begin this new chapter with Holistic Flow Remedial Massage & Lymphatic Drainage, Iād love to reintroduce myself and share a little about how it all began.
My journey began when I was 19 and struggling with severe abdominal pain that made it hard to even stand. After countless tests with no answers, I finally tried a manual therapy treatment ā and it worked. That experience opened my eyes to how powerful the bodyās natural flow can be.
Years later, that memory inspired me to change my career and follow this path. Since then, Iāve dedicated my work to helping others restore balance and reconnect with their bodies.
My passion is helping you feel better so you can live the life you love. I donāt just focus on one sore spot ā I look at your body as a whole, finding and releasing whatās blocking your flow.
Iām so excited to begin this next chapter and continue helping peopleš
Please call/text Meg 0401 037 637 or DM me if you are interested in.
