Your hair doesn’t need an ice bath however lukewarm followed by a cool rinse is your hairs sweet spot.
Very hot water can leave your hair and scalp feeling dry and may contribute to colour fading.
Cool water is also great for curls as it helps reduce frizz and moisture loss by sealing the cuticle layer of the hair which means your colour and moisture is sealed within the inner shaft (cortex layer) of your hair high gives you colour longevity and healthier hair!

With this being said, it all comes down to personal preference and what your scalp and hair needs.

Wash when your scalp needs it, shampoo twice for a thorough cleanse, condition through the mid lengths and ends unless directions say otherwise (some hair growth conditioners need to be massaged into scalp) then finish with products suited to your hair type.
