Wild Pansy (Viola tricolor) is renowned for its profound skin-hydrating properties. Rich in polysaccharides, oligosaccharides, and flavonoids, Wild Pansy enhances the skin’s ability to retain moisture while supporting barrier integrity. One of its most notable mechanisms is its ability to stimulate the expression of aquaporin-3 (AQP3), a protein channel responsible for transporting water and glycerol across the skin’s layers. By increasing AQP3 expression, Wild Pansy facilitates deeper hydration and improves the skin’s overall moisture balance from within.

Parabens are preservatives used to protect cosmetics from microbial contamination. On an ingredient list, they may appear as Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Butylparaben or Ethylparaben. Some laboratory and experimental studies have reported endocrine-related activity for certain parabens, although regulatory bodies continue to assess the safety of individual parabens at permitted concentrations. We choose not to formulate with parabens. Instead, we use Ecocert-approved, carefully selected broad-spectrum preservation systems appropriate for each formula.

Silicones are synthetic ingredients commonly found in skincare and haircare products. They can create a smooth, silky feel and form an occlusive film over the skin or hair. For some people, this film may feel heavy, trap sweat, oil and impurities, and contribute to irritation or breakouts. Silicones are also nutrient-void synthetic materials, and some types are not readily biodegradable. After rinsing, persistent silicone compounds can enter waterways and may ultimately affect aquatic and marine environments. On an ingredient list, they may appear as Dimethicone, Cyclopentasiloxane, Cyclohexasiloxane, Trimethylsiloxysilicate or other ingredients ending in “-cone,” “-siloxane” or “-silane.” We choose nourishing botanical oils, butters and thoughtfully selected alternatives where they support the formula.

1. Cleanse with the Neroli Cleansing Oil, massage into dry skin on the face and neck using upward, circular movements. Cup your nose and take a deep breath. Soak a facial cloth in hot ( not scalding) water and hold it against your face for a minute to steam and activate oils, wipe away. Repeat this last step one to two more times.
Cleanse with Flower Acid Cleanser, massage one pump of cleanser gently into wet skin. Wash off with warm water.
