I wanted to share a little change that’s happening in the salon 🌿
I’ve been with Clever Curl pretty much from the beginning, and for many years I’ve genuinely loved supporting a brand that aligned so closely with so many of the things I care about — curly hair, thoughtful ingredients, sustainability and of course, their refill system.

Recently, Clever Curl has evolved and rebranded. And while I completely understand that businesses grow and change, it also made me stop and think about what I want to stand behind in my own little business.
Because for me, staying relevant isn’t about trying to appeal to everyone — it’s about staying true to who you are, what you stand for, and the values your brand was built on.
Sustainability and looking after our planet aren’t just marketing words to me. They genuinely matter. I’m becoming more conscious about unnecessary packaging, consumption and waste, and supporting businesses that stay true to those values as they grow.

So, after a lot of thought, I’ve decided to slowly move away from stocking the Clever Curl retail range.
I still have plenty of Clever Curl products in the salon and I still love what they can achieve, so I’ll continue offering their refills for now — because refilling rather than replacing perfectly good bottles just makes sense to me. 🌿

But I’m also VERY excited to introduce another beautiful Australian range into the salon.
It’s a small, family-run Australian business, curly-girl friendly, with an ethos and approach that I feel really connected to. I’ve been using the products and I genuinely love them — and I’m excited for you to try them too.

This isn’t about saying one brand is “bad” and another is “good”. It’s simply about being conscious of what I put on my shelves, where I spend my money, and making sure the brands I support continue to align with the values behind my business.

Sometimes staying true to what you believe in means being willing to change too. 🌱

A little reflection today on all the dads and the men in our lives who have loved us, guided us, inspired us and helped shape who we are.

I feel incredibly lucky to have my dad — not only as my father, but as someone I look up to, learnt from and been inspired by. ❤️
And today I’m also thinking of those who are missing their dads and feeling that absence a little more deeply, those longing or hoping to become fathers, and those carrying the loss of a child.
Father’s Day can mean something different to each of us.

So wherever you find yourself today — celebrating, remembering, hoping, grieving, or simply reflecting — I see you and I’m thinking of you 💙
