After more than 30 years in business, it felt like the perfect time for a little refresh.

So much has changed over the years — the salon, our team, the trends and even me — but the heart behind Danielle’s In Vogue has always stayed the same.

I absolutely love our new logo. Thanks to Moments & the Tides Media ,Simple, timeless and elegant, and the perfect next chapter for a business that means so much to me.

And lastly… me.

It’s hard to put so many years, memories and people into one little post.
My hairdressing journey started at just 16, and at 20 I took a huge leap and opened my own salon. I started as a one-man band in Bradley Street, opening 7 days a week and waitressing at night just to make it all work.
Little by little it grew, eventually becoming our beautiful Sloane Street salon with a team of 15 amazing girls. They were some incredibly busy but special years.
Along the way came my five beautiful children, and life became a juggling act of being a mum, a wife and a business owner.
Then I lost my beautiful Dad — my biggest supporter and my right hand in life. Losing him changed me and made me look at what was most important. I made the difficult decision to downsize the salon and create the smaller boutique studio we have today.
Looking back now, I know it was the right chapter for me. 🤍
Staff ….over the years, so many beautiful girls have walked through the doors of Danielle’s In Vogue. Some stayed for years, some became lifelong friends and quite a few went on to open salons of their own. Although saying goodbye was never easy, I’ll always feel incredibly proud knowing I may have played a little part in helping them chase their own dreams.
These days I’m incredibly grateful to have an amazing team who support me and allow me to find a little more balance between the business I love and my family — especially with children who keep us ridiculously busy with their sport, and now my two beautiful grandchildren who have added another whole level of joy to our lives.
Matt has taught me I don’t need to be first in and last out anymore… although he still thinks I’ll be doing hair at 100 — and he’s probably right! 😂🤍
From that 20-year-old girl opening the doors to her first little salon, to everything Danielle’s In Vogue has become today, there have been plenty of highs, lows, changes, tears, laughs and lifelong friendships along the way.

But one thing hasn’t changed…

I still love what I do, I still love my clients, and I’m incredibly grateful that after all these years, you still choose to sit in my chair. 🤍

✨ MEET THE TEAM — MOLLY ✨

Meet my gorgeous baby girl, Molly 🤍 The second youngest of five and another familiar face around the salon.

Molly is currently attending Erindale Sports College in Canberra, where she is busy with school and her sport.

Last year, Molly completed a school-based apprenticeship in hairdressing with us, giving her a taste of salon life from the other side of the chair. Having grown up in the salon, she’s always been surrounded by hairdressing, so it was pretty special for me to watch her start learning the trade herself.

For now, school and sport are her main focus, but we’re hoping that once she finishes Year 12, she might continue on with her hairdressing journey and see where it takes her. ✂️

I absolutely love having my girl around the salon — and of course, being Mum, I’d secretly love nothing more than to see her follow in my footsteps one day. 🥰🤍

Moll has also completed her brow training and works in the holidays whenever she can .
Maybe we have the next generation coming through! 🤞💕

Meet Our Team — Chelsea ✨

Chelsea is my gorgeous niece , she is in Year 8 at Trinity and works with us every Thursday after school and during the school holidays.

Chels is our friendly, reliable and always eager to learn salon assistant. She brings such a positive energy to the salon and is always happy to lend a hand wherever she is needed. Whether she’s helping keep the salon tidy, welcoming clients or supporting the team behind the scenes, Chelsea is always willing to get involved.

We love watching her confidence grow as she learns more about the salon and develops new skills. She is a fantastic team player, always approaches tasks with a smile and brings a lovely energy to every shift. We are so lucky to have her as part of our team! 💕
