🌏💗 GETTING TO KNOW YOUR LOCALS — GOULBURN MULTICULTURAL WOMEN’S GROUP 💗🌏

Today we’re shining the spotlight on a wonderful part of our local community — the Goulburn Multicultural Women’s Group, based at the Goulburn Multicultural Centre.

This beautiful group brings women from different cultures, backgrounds and walks of life together in a welcoming and supportive space. 🤍

It’s a place to connect, make friendships, share stories, learn from one another and feel a sense of belonging within the Goulburn community.

Our Women’s Group meets every Friday from 10 am to 12 noon, starting with an invigorating Zumba class. This is followed by informative sessions focused on women’s issues. We strive to provide a holistic program that encompasses physical, mental, and social activities. All is free entry.

For women who may be new to the area, away from family or adjusting to life in a new country and community, having somewhere to meet other women, have a chat and build genuine connections can mean so much. 🌸

And that’s what we love about Goulburn — behind so many of our local organisations are people quietly working to make sure everyone feels welcome and included.

The Goulburn Multicultural Women’s Group is a beautiful reminder that although we may come from different places, speak different languages and have different traditions, community brings us together. 🌏🫶

We’re so happy to introduce another wonderful group of locals and celebrate the diversity that makes our Goulburn community so special. 💕

🤍 An important little update from 1 October

From 1 October, changes to card payment rules mean businesses can no longer pass card payment surcharges on to clients.

While this is a change designed to simplify payments for customers, the costs involved in accepting card payments don’t disappear for small businesses like Beauty Withinn.

Rather than increasing our treatment prices to cover these costs, for now we’re simply asking that, where possible, you consider paying by cash, PayID or bank transfer when making your payment. 🤍

Every little bit makes a difference when you’re a small business, and we’re so grateful for your understanding and support as we work through these changes.

A little bit of community history- The premises date back to 1909, when “Currawinya” — an Aboriginal word meaning Place of the Winds — was the residence and consultation rooms of Dr Selby Woodhouse Morton.

The building later became known as Kantara, before being re-established as a medical surgery in 2025. So while Family First Medical is looking toward the future of healthcare, it’s also part of a much bigger piece of Goulburn’s history and here to stay. ❤️
