Ugh! Covid sucks
Good Morning Everyone,
It is a very hot day here today and as I am restricted in what I can do with my left hand out of action due to skin cancer removal and skin Graft on it I decided to type a 1 handered more like 1 finger post on here to fill in some time.
I go back to see surgeon on Monday so hopefully it is all ok and the pain sometimes excruciating pain has been worth it.
Lucky for me I have just stocked up the soap boxes so that is done until
I can safely handle it again. If I run out before then then I will communicate with you the customers to let you know what I have in stock that you can substitute with.
This last month I have been busy with some Christmas Bags that will be sold exclusively at the Darling Downs Handmade Shop in Wilsonton Shopping Centre, Toowoomba. There are Santas , Snowmen and als a couple of reindeers. Not a lot of stock so I advise you to get in early. Inside the bags are Fragrance Free Milk Soaps in various shapes. Check the labels for the shapes.
Also this month I have a new Balm made with Radium W**d infused Oil. This Balm may help to remove small skin cancers or at least reduce them. Once again limited stocks but I will make more as I get my left hand back in use being left handed there is a limit to what I can achieve with my right hand.
My garden has been quite showy o the last few weeks with th bougainvillias in full bloom along with the little heartsies that have self sown everywhere. I had to prune the azalea as the leaves were all going yellow so a good prune and a feed of epsom salts soon revived that one. I now have the Shasta daisies budding up well and should put on a lovely show down the side. In the pothouse my little mouse plant excelled this year with flowers galore. It is now going to sleep until next autumn and my golden Lily of the valley are taking over.
I am changing my pots oveer to growing calladiums as they are so lovely with their showy pink leaves. I bought some before winter but don't think they have survived as no new shoots in the pots yet so I bought 4 more just this month and the are doing better. Also have a black and a white Bat Flower just babies at the moment but they are doing well. In fact Black one has flowered and could be getting another bud as well. Sewed some seeds of the perrenial Basil plant and to my surprise I now have 8 or 9 seedlings that I have transplanted into small pots now. Am growing them and blue Salvia for my bees as they love them. Well that is all from the garden for now.
My little dog Mac has not been well the last week. He has spent 2 days in hospital on a drip as he was not eating and started to vomit.
The medication for Cushings Disease has shut down the Adrenal Glands (my interpretation) and he is now being treated for Addison Disease as well as pancreatitus and ulcerated intestines.
He is home again now and has just started eating what else but roast chicken although he did have a couple of nibbles on his kibble this morning.
Well that is my tale of wow this morning so will sign off for now.
Take Care and be Kind to each other.

Good Morning Everyone. I am a little late as I did say 1 month for the next Ramble. The older I get the quicker the days fly by.
Have been busy in the last few weeks catching up with making soaps and hopefully I have enough in stock now to cover most orders. As I have downsized everything that includes the molds I can use as the log molds have to be able to fit in the side by side door fridge. I sold the full door freezer I used to use as have no room. I make do with everything shoved in cupboards instead of open shelves where I could see at a glance what I had. Have duplicated a few things when ordering as couldn't find them when I needed them mainly bottles and jars so they will eventually get used. Still having problems with getting the shortened lotion bottles so may have to go with the long ones again. I swapped over to th shorter ones as they fit in the post boxes standing up.
This month a one off new luxury soap is available. Paw Paw n Passionfruit. Lovely bright Orange colour with swirls of yellow. It is limited to 20 bars so if you want some better get in quick.
With the downsizing I am using my camping tables to hold my computers and printers as well as the shrink wrapper and they are starting to bend in the middle under the load so I am now thinking of getting those cube shelving things in various sizes to try and make things more accesible and tidy.
The junk room 'ahem' office also houses all my family history stuff so some shelving to place the books in would be great as they are scttered in various cupboards around each room that can hold them.
For those going to Toowoomba this year don't forget to pop out to Wilsonton shopping Centre and visit the lovely CO- OP shop where you will find my products as well as all the lovely hand made things that will make ideal gifts for someone at Christmas time.
Little Mac is progressing slowly. The vet has switched him over to tablet form of the medication he must take every day. It is a struggle gtting the tablets down his throat and sometimes we have to try 3 or 4 times but he eventually swallows them all and has a piece of sausage as a reward. He has had an infection in his eyes and his private parts (probably a urinary infection) has antibiotic ointment to rub on and it seems to be doing the trick as his eyes at least are clearing up. His appetite has not been good but since starting on the pills he is eating
more and is now 4.1 kgs up a bit from just under 4kgs. Lost 2.5kgs when he wasn't eating. We just take each day as it comes as he is still happy to chase balls around and go for his walks each afternoon.
I have noticed he is getting to be more of a lap dog which he never was before dignosing but I think it is because he is cold having his belly shaved and also losing the undercoat. I have to put his coat on most mornings and late afternoons so he is doing ok for now.
It is spring time in my garden and there are lots of flowers this year.
Not what I would normally grow but the Salmon coloured Bougainvillea has outdone itself and the seaside daisies are taking over. I have lots of little "happy faces" I call them they look like mini pansies but there real name escapes me at the moment. Transplanted some over to the otherside of the steps and waiting until they get going. Also have some plants in pots that are looking great. My cyclamen has 25 flowers all at once but will be starting to die back as the weather gets warmer. The Rosemary and lavender that I transplanted as well as the bottle brush and a crepe myrtle all in pots are looking good also.
I will put photos in the comments as Facebook won't let me add photos in the post....grrrrrr
Well that is all I can ramble on about so until next time.
Blessings and be kind to everyone.
Wundanook Rambles
Wundanook Rambles
Wundanook Rambles. Good Morning and yes it is really me. As you may have noticed I have not been around for a very long time due to ill health for both me and my little Mac. I am now on the path to being as healthy as an old chook like me with a bad heart can be. I have a little box planted under my skin (pacemaker) to keep the old heart ticking and am feeling so much better well there are the odd days with problems but these are getting fewer and far between so things are good. Before all this started I made a move to come back to my home state and down size my belongings. This has mostly worked except I find I go to get something and it was sold before moving not to worry I either improvise or go get another whatchamacallit if I am really desperate. I don't have much garden to look after just a strip out the front and some pots I have planted with bee friendly plants as I have 2 native bee hives that travelled down here with me.
The front garden has boganvillias, camelias, a minature Lassiandra, and also a daggy azalea. There are lots of fill in plants like seaside daisy and also I planted some white daisies down the side.
There is a small blue ground cover convolvus I think it is as well as a couple of plans in pots. That is enough for me to water and take care of as I cannot do a lot of bending anymore.
Well you are probably wondering why I am putting this on FB and not my website. The truth is my website has changed and I have to relearn how to update it. Square now owns weebly and it is just not how I remember it.
My Little Mac - pomeranian has been diagnosed with Cushings disease and has to take a heap of pills twice a day to make his life better. Cushings disease is a growth on the pituatry gland and this affects the Adrenal glands making his body produce way to much adrenalin hence his ADHD as well as lots of other symptoms that I am now aware of. He started out on a liquid drug but his body was not reacting how it was supposed to and everytime I got a new lot we had to increase the dose higher. Mac has a shaved belly as he had to have an ultrasound the good news was that he doesn't have any growths in his adrenals. His medication is now same drug but in tablet form
and that is so much fun trying to get him to swallow them. The little devil holds them somehow and spits them out if I am not looking. Mac still loves his toys and chasing the ball but in smaller doses as he gets tired and just flops down whereever for a snooze. We have started our walks again so tablets are working for his breathing and body pains which is good. I had never hear of this disease but now I find out Humans can get it and there is also the opposite disease called addisons that is not enough adrenalin. Amazing.
Well that brings you upto date wit my life I will now endeavour to keep doing a ramble more regularly
Blessings
Happy Mothers Day to all Mums.
