5.5 hours, 3 bowls of bleach and enough foil to keep a conspiracy theorist stocked up for months 🤪 Lucky that I love a good colour correction! There was some old red box dye in there, so we were stoked with the results considering! 🙌

Instead of a "before and after" here's 3 "after" photos from 3 colour correction appointments 🖤🤍
Its no secret that black box dye is the hardest colour to lift out, and some hairdressers refuse to even colour correct it.
The one thing I do for every single colour correction appointment? I set expectations low. I would rather under-promise and over-deliver, than get someone's hopes up and have them be disappointed.
Its taken 3 sessions to get to brown from black. Thats about 15 hours of work total, and we started this journey 5 months ago!
Thankfully, our goal isnt all over blonde, because the only way to achieve that with this client would be with a pixie cut 😆
We're pretty close to the shade of brown that's our goal colour, finally 🙌

When you havent seen your client in 10 months, because she moved 5 hours away.. and you forget to take before photos 🤦‍♀️
But! Can you believe she drove all that way just to come and get her hair done with me!? I have some clients that drive from the Sunny Coast, Bundaberg, Hervey Bay etc, but all the way from near Rockhampton is a next-level compliment 🥰
Even though we forgot to take before photos, this little lavender moment still deserves its place on the socials because its delicious 💜

Blue and orange are complimentary colours on the colour wheel, so next to each other they POP!

This appointment was special, because I got to help someone get their sparkle back! Which is the best part of my job. New hair is a fresh start, and colourful hair is even better! 🙌🌈

Saying goodbye to last year's colour 👋 ..yeah you read that right! That purple in the before photo was 6 months old and still looked so vibrant! 🙌

It was time to change it up though, and I love this colour combo! 💚🩵🤎

We're slowly getting there! Our goal is a light brown and I'm determined to get it there, so watch this space! In the meantime, we have a cute chocolate brown 🤎
