Things that filled my cup this week 🤍
Life has looked a little different lately.
A little slower. A little messier. A lot more cuddly. And somehow, still very full of the things I love.
Between newborn snuggles, toddler time, bridal emails, getting my business organised behind the scenes and laughing in business group chats… these are the little things that have made this week feel really special.
Sometimes filling your cup isn’t one big, exciting thing.
Sometimes it’s a “I’m so excited you’re doing my wedding hair and makeup!” email.
Sometimes it’s tiny toes.
Sometimes it’s finally finishing a project that’s been sitting on your list for months.
And sometimes it’s a three-year-old climbing into your lap because he just wants his mum. 🥹 I never let go first… I’ll always cuddle until he lets go..
Feeling very grateful for this season of life — personally and professionally. 🤍

✨💙 Our family has grown 💙✨
The reason I’ve been a little quiet lately is because we’ve been keeping the sweetest little secret.
Our beautiful baby boy has arrived, happy, healthy, and already so incredibly loved. He is absolutely perfect, and watching his big brother fall completely head over heels for him has been the most beautiful thing to witness. He is so proud, so gentle, and completely smitten with his little brother. My heart could honestly burst.
Over the next few weeks, you’ll probably continue to see a little less of me online while we soak up every cuddle, every tiny yawn, and every precious moment in our newborn bubble. These early days are so fleeting, and I’m giving myself permission to be fully present with my family.
To all of my beautiful brides and salon clients, thank you for your patience, your love, and your understanding. 🤍 if I am a little slow to respond, you’ll now know why.
For now… you’ll find me right here, soaking in newborn snuggles, making memories with my growing family, and feeling incredibly grateful.
Welcome to the world, our sweet little boy. You are loved more than you’ll ever know. 💙

✨ Natural Makeup vs Soft Glam: Which One Are You Actually Asking For? ✨
One of the biggest challenges for brides is putting their vision into words.
At almost every preview, I hear:
“I want natural makeup, but I still want coverage, lashes, contour, defined eyes and for it to last all day.”
In reality, that’s often Soft Glam, not Natural Makeup.
🤍 Natural Makeup is for the bride who wants to look like herself—just fresher, brighter and more polished. Skin still looks like skin, freckles will still peek through, and the overall effect is effortless.
✨ Soft Glam is for the bride who loves a little more definition. The skin is more perfected, the eyes have more depth, lashes are more noticeable, and the features are softly sculpted while still looking elegant and timeless.
Neither is right or wrong.
Neither is more bridal than the other.
The best makeup look is the one that feels like you when you look in the mirror.
📌 Save this for your bridal preview.
👰 Send it to a bride who keeps saying she wants “natural glam” because that could mean absolutely anything. 😂

🌧️ Cold weather.
☕ Hot tea.
💇🏼♀️ A day off.
My idea of a perfect day. 🤍
One thing I love about slower days is having the opportunity to sit down, get creative, and play with different hairstyles. Not every style works the way you imagined when you start, but that’s part of the fun.
The beauty industry is constantly evolving, and I believe the moment you stop practising, experimenting and learning is the moment you stop growing.
So while the cold winds roll around outside, I’m inside with a cuppa tea 🫖 ☕️ creating this beautiful textured bun, refining techniques, trying new approaches, and reminding myself why I fell in love with this industry in the first place.
A little inspiration, a mannequin head, and 30 minutes of uninterrupted creativity. ✨
This particular style was inspired by the incredibly talented , whose work is always a source of inspiration for hairstylists around the world. 🤍
I started off copying the style in the video but then I went rogue and did my own thing haha that’s the fun of it right!?
Tell me—if you could master any hairstyle on yourself, what would it be? 👇
✨ Creating braids has taught me one very important lesson…
Pinch.
Pull.
Trust the process.
And then trust the process some more. 😂
There are so many moments while creating a braid like this where my perfectionist brain wants to stop, undo it all, and start again.
One section looks uneven.
One loop looks too big.
One side doesn’t quite match the other.
Me, 30 seconds into creating a braid:
“Wow, this is stunning.”
Me, halfway through:
“Terrible. Awful. Start again.”
Me, at the end:
“Oh… never mind, she’s beautiful.” 😂
But I’ve learned that braids like this style aren’t meant to be perfect.
They’re meant to be soft, organic, and full of movement.
Sometimes the magic happens when you keep going, keep pinching, keep pulling, and let the style evolve instead of trying to control every single strand.
Honestly, that’s probably a life lesson too. 🤍
So here’s your reminder from a hairstylist who occasionally battles her own perfectionism:
Not everything has to be perfect at the halfway point.
Sometimes you just need to trust the process.
✨ Pinch.
✨ Pull.
✨ Trust.

✨ Lace, sparkle and a little bit of luxury… yes please. ✨
These stunning stiletto nails were created using soft gel enhancements, featuring iridescent glitter that catches the light from every angle, delicate lace-inspired detailing, and the perfect touch of Swarovski sparkle. 🤍💎
One of the things my clients love most is that soft gel enhancements are designed to be soaked off safely when it’s time for a fresh set—no aggressive removal methods required.
I also understand that everyone has different comfort levels when it comes to nail services, which is why I offer both e-file and hand file techniques. Whether you prefer the efficiency of an e-file or the gentler feel of traditional hand filing, your appointment is tailored to what works best for you. ✨
Because beautiful nails should feel just as good as they look.

If Rapunzel got married, I’m convinced she’d choose something like this. ✨
Soft.
Romantic.
Whimsical.
The kind of hairstyle that looks like it belongs in a storybook but still feels modern enough for today’s bride.

✨ Sometimes I think this is just the grown-up version of playing with dolls.
One of my favourite things about being a bridal hairstylist is that I never stop learning, experimenting, and creating. Just like I spend time practising new makeup techniques, I also love sitting down with a mannequin head and seeing where my creativity takes me.
This braid is a perfect example. Soft, romantic, and full of beautiful detail, with delicate floral accents woven throughout to create something that feels straight out of a fairytale. 🌸✨
The beauty industry is constantly evolving, and I truly believe that the best artists never stop practising. Every braid, every bun, every wave, every face is an opportunity to refine, improve, and create something beautiful.
Because behind every wedding morning is years of practice, countless hours of education, and a genuine love for the craft. 🤍
And honestly? Sometimes it’s still just me playing with hair and makeup like I did when I was a little girl… only now the dolls have gotten a lot bigger. ✨

A reminder that bridal buns don’t all have to look the same. 🤍
If you’ve been scrolling through endless low buns and nothing feels quite like you, this is your sign to consider something with a little more texture and personality.
This braided bun is perfect for brides wanting:
✨ A style that feels timeless
✨ Beautiful detail without looking trendy
✨ A flatter profile through the nape
✨ Comfort for long, thick hair
✨ Something unique without being over the top
The kind of hairstyle that still looks beautiful in your photos 20 years from now.
Check out the reel on my page for the step by step tutorial of this look. 👀
✨ Not every bride wants a big, voluminous bun… and that’s exactly why I love this braided bun.
If you have long, thick hair but want something that sits flatter against the head and nape of the neck, this style is such a beautiful alternative. It gives you all the elegance of an upstyle while feeling soft, secure, and incredibly comfortable to wear all day.
In this reel, I’m taking you through the step-by-step process of creating one of my favourite bridal hairstyles. Perfect for brides wanting something timeless with a little extra texture and detail.
Would you wear this for your wedding day? 🤍
Save this for your bridal hair inspiration folder and send it to a bride-to-be who needs to see this style.
