Part 3- My bride Ashley only wears black…..

For her wedding day she wanted to look and feel like a real bride, but with her own style and personality thrown in.

Ashley surprised everyone by wearing white, with chains added to the sleeve for that alternative look.

The The Bloom Room created this incredible bouquet which so perfect for Ashley adding in that element of grunge.

I love how everything came together and was the perfect balance of grunge meets soft glam!

I absolutely loved creating this look for my bride Ashley.
Who only ever wears black…. The question is did she wear a traditional white dress or a black dress??

What a privilege it was, to create this look for the talented Jenny Kee AO
Iconic Blue Mountains artist Jenny Kee is known for her red lip so I wanted to make sure it was perfect!
The trick to a red lip is, getting the shape right with a pencil first, then using a flat angled brush to fill in with lipstick.

This was part of a shoot for IKOU at the stunning Chalets at Blackheath

Is a bridal trial necessary?
The short answer is yes…. Why?

Because this is the time to chat about the vision you have for your wedding day. The colours, dresses, flowers.
How you will have your hair, what your dress will look like.

What your skin is like, allergies, likes and dislikes with makeup. We look at makeup inspiration images and discuss your dream bridal makeup look.

As I do your makeup, Im getting to know you, building a connection.

Once your bridal trial makeup is done, we assess it and can make changes if needed. This allows you to see and feel how it wears throughout the rest of the day.

I make my notes and take photos of all the products Ive used and of your makeup look, then I upload them to your file on Diary Of A Bride - Business Management Software

Then in a few days I check in to see how it all went and again if any changes need to be made.

This process allows your wedding day to flow smoothly and means you can relax knowing Ive come prepared and Ive got you 🫶🏻

However If you physically can’t make it to a trial then either a chat in the phone or communication via email is essential.
