Today we celebrate Franca. Happy 60th Birthday to a true one of a kind. 🎉💛

Franca has been my client for 15 years. That's 25% of her life and 43% of mine. But somewhere along the way, she became so much more than a client.

She's the Zia I never had. The person you can call when you need to vent, knowing you'll end the conversation laughing. The one who gives advice you actually listen to. The one who brings joy wherever she goes.

She's been there through so many of life's biggest moments. When I walked away from a toxic workplace. When I opened my own salon. When I got engaged. When I got married. When I became a mum. She came to my baby shower, and although she couldn't make it to our wedding because her partner was unwell, she was there in every way that mattered.

Fifteen years of stories, laughs, wisdom and unwavering support.

Franca, you've had a bigger impact on my life than you'll probably ever realise, and I'm so grateful our paths crossed all those years ago.

Happy 60th Birthday, Zia Franca. Here's to many more years of coffee, conversations, laughter, and you being unapologetically yourself. 🥂✨

Last night I was too tired after a full day in the salon to blow-dry my hair… so I went to bed with it almost air dried.

This morning?
✨ Frizz ball.

Instead of grabbing the straightener, I reached for the blow dryer to smooth everything out.

When you blow-dry properly you’re actually sealing the cuticle down nice and tight, especially when the nozzle is pointed down the hair shaft toward the floor the whole time.

The bonus?
A straightener usually sits around 180°C+, while blow-drying is generally closer to 120°C of indirect heat.

So you still get smooth, shiny, styled hair…
just with less heat damage.

Sometimes the healthier option is also the easiest one. Win win 💁🏻‍♀️
