I’ve been seeing this comment a lot lately & I just wanted to explain how running a small business works.

Hairdressing is so much more than just a tube of colour & a pair of scissors.

Behind every appointment are business expenses, product costs, ongoing education, tools, insurance, software, admin, cleaning, laundry, taxes, and countless hours of work that happen outside salon hours.

A lot of people see the final price, but rarely see everything that goes into delivering the experience, results & care they receive.

This post isn’t about complaining or justifying prices. It’s simply a little look behind the curtain of what it takes to run a hair business.
