Modified HIV drug could reverse vision loss, paralysis from MS, study suggests An experimental drug reversed vision loss and paralysis in mice with MS-like symptoms, prompting researchers to explore its potential for human treatment.

Early results from the world-first OCTOPUS-PLATYPUS trial have found that alpha lipoic acid has shown enough promise to progress to the next stage of testing for progressive MS.

While more research is needed, this milestone offers hope for people living with progressive MS and highlights the power of innovative clinical trials.
