It was a very cold day, too — I had one gorgeous customer even rubbing my hands to warm them. Those little moments stay with me. They’re part of what makes running LUMINUS so personal, and why I enjoy meeting and talking with my lovely customers so much.

The first of my new Sel Gris soaps, made with pineapple enzyme and a little orange powder for a gentle, natural polish.

She’s still resting on the rack in my studio, slowly settling into her mineral-rich base.

Salamanca was beautiful yesterday, and I got to quietly introduce two little LUMINUS firsts. 🤍

I brought South along for the very first time — just to see how it would go — and honestly, I was blown away. The scent was such a hit. Men and women were leaning in, asking what it was and telling me how clean and woodsy it smelled. That was a real moment.

I also put up my new LUMINUS banner, which felt like a small milestone of its own.

Good beard care should look after the skin underneath too.

That’s part of what I’ve been working on with a new, lightly scented beard oil called South, and I’m really pleased with how it’s come together.

It has the same beautiful skin care as Quiet and Anchor, but with a scent that’s a little woodsy and a little citrus, and very easy to like.

I’ll be taking the first bottles along to Salamanca this Saturday, so if you’re curious, come by and have a smell.
