Cuticle oil, what is it and why do we need it?

Cuticle oil is a combination of fruit or nut based oils blended together to create a nourishing skin oil used to hydrate and moisturise the cuticle area. Just like a quality face cream can soften your complexion, a cuticle oil can make the skin around your nails hydrated and happy.

As stated by Nail technician Tammy Taylor, Cuticle oils are formulated with emollients that act as a barrier to lock in moisture around the cuticle area.

As a general rule, moisturized nails grow faster - in saying this, like hair on our head, if we massage oils into our skin and stimulate the blood flow in the area typically it will promote a healthier and faster growth pattern.

Cuticle oil has a number of great benefits that you probably weren't even aware of:

It promotes healthy nail growth by supporting the nail matrix

It extends the life of nail enhancements such as BIAB & Soft Gel

It seals in moisture to keep the cuticle area and nail plate soft and flexible

It can prevent the nail and polish from becoming brittle and chipping

It shrinks and tightens the cuticle to prevent hangnails & flaking around the nail bed.

Why is it important to brush and style your brows after a brow lamination treatment?

A brow lamination treatment is used to achieve thicker, fluffier, fuller brows, however they won’t stay like this forever.

You may notice after a week or two when you get out of the shower, or wake up in the morning that the hairs are not flat against the face anymore and abit all over the place - this is why we brush.

Brushing the brows when you get out of the shower and your brows are still wet will help lift them back up into place and they will dry in that position. if you leave them to dry and then brush them, they won’t as easily move and stay where you want them… likewise when you wake up in the morning.

Add it into your morning routine to brush them straight back up into place. We are all Wriggly sleepers and that we can’t help, but when you wake up your hairs may be messy. A quick brush over will do the trick.

We as humans expect such high results when we get treatments however aftercare seems to fall through the cracks so quickly and those results are quickly compromised. Make the most of your treatments by following all aftercare procedures including brushing your brows 😉

We are so excited to announce our books are fully closed to new clients ✨

What an extraordinary journey it has been to get to this point, to treat and beautify each and every one of you whom has come through our doors, to connect and build relationships with you and to laugh and bring joy into your lives 🫶🏻

It has finally come to the point where our books are filled up months in advance with my regular angels and there is no more room for new beauties at this point.

What this means for you;

Any clients that have received an appointment within 18 months from the date they wish to receive treatment will be eligible to book in at vogue. Regular occurring client or treated on occasions - this applies to all of you and I can’t wait to see your pretty faces in salon 🥰

Any client who has booked in beyond that point and not returned will not be considered an existing client and any bookings made will be rejected.

If you are someone who has never visited vogue prior and try’s to book in, your booking will be rejected and cancelled without notice.

If you are someone who has booked an appointment however had to cancel and has never been treated by our therapists, your appointment will be rejected and cancelled without notice.

Please note everyone can still book in through our systems, we cannot physically turn off our system to new clients, however we have 👀 and our system will notify us if you are a new client trying to sneak through the cracks and we unfortunately we cancel and reject your booking. 🤍

We understand this will be frustrating for future clients trying to book in however we have big love for our existing clients and want to cherish their love and support to us and give them the best opportunities to fit in for an appointment 🦋🫶🏻
