Who says we have to go dark in the winter? Bright blondes for the win

Turning our waste into recycling then into cash 💸

In Australia, a significant portion of material placed in household recycling bins does not end up being successfully recycled.

Current estimates suggest that around 15–25% of material collected in kerbside recycling bins is contaminated and then placed into landfill.

We have always strived ourselves on being as eco conscious as we can, especially with washing and recycling our foils. But recently hearing these stats at our NAK Hair collective conference, I was shocked that we could be contributing to landfill in such a way.

shared that they send all their foils to a scrap metal yard to be recycled correctly, and with a bonus of getting paid to do so! 🤯 I rang around to the local yards in our area as soon as we returned, with great success, they will accept our foils!

After only two weeks of collecting our used foils, cleaning them and storing them. We took 19 kilos to the scrap metal yard!!!

We are saving all the cash from our foil recycling over the next few months to then put towards a salon team outing - any suggestions on what we should do? 🤔 drop your ideas below 👇🏼 we love supporting other local businesses 🤍

A little 17 year old walking in the door with her resume in hand, asking if we had any openings.

Gem: ‘I hope so’ with that smile that can light up a room ✨ a few weeks later you were ours 💞

We’ve seen you grow in so many ways. Personally and professionally.
Starting your Tafe journey, getting your P’s, building your clientele, absolutely slaying the blondes, buying a new car, slowly learning the appreciation of wine 🥂😇 we have been here for it all, and can’t wait to see how far you can go!!
