A couple of massage appointments have opened up this Saturday morning.
If you’ve been dealing with recurring pain or tightness—and the occasional massage, physio session or gym program hasn’t quite joined the dots—I can help you look at the bigger picture.
We’ll use massage and movement to relieve what’s tight, explore what may be contributing and give you a clearer way forward.
Message me SATURDAY if you’d like one of the available times.

Most people don’t need to try harder.
They need the pieces joined together.
Massage can help settle tension and guarding.
Breathing and awareness can restore connection.
Movement rebuilds control.
Strength turns that control into capability.
Then the real goal begins: getting back to walking, training, travelling, playing with the kids—or simply living without constantly worrying about your body.
If you’ve tried massage, physio, stretching and gym programs but the same problem keeps returning, you may not have tried the wrong things. The pieces may simply never have been connected.
That’s exactly what I teach inside my free 14-Day Foundations.
Comment FOUNDATIONS and I’ll send you the link, or start here:
14-Day Foundations Group Join if pain, injury or a loss of confidence has stopped you doing the things you enjoy. This is not a random exercise challenge. It helps you release protective tension, restore awareness and movement, and begin rebuilding the control and strength your life demands.
Your neck may not be the real problem.
When your chest stays dropped, your shoulders can creep upwards and your neck has to work harder just to keep your head facing forward.
I often see this pattern alongside tension through the diaphragm, ribs and abdominal wall. Simply stretching the neck doesn’t always address the bigger picture.
A pool noodle or rolled towel beneath the mid-back can create space through the chest, allow the shoulders to settle and make breathing and movement feel easier.
Don’t force the position. Support your head if needed and let your breathing gradually open the area.
This is what rebuilding from the foundations looks like: restoring space, breathing and control before asking the body to work harder.
If your body feels stiff, guarded or disconnected, comment FOUNDATIONS and I’ll send you my free 14-Day Foundations program.
Quick question:
When your neck feels tight, do you stretch your neck—or have you ever looked at what your chest and ribs are doing?
A dropped chest can make the shoulders creep up and leave the neck working overtime.
Tomorrow I’ll show you one simple way to create some space and let the whole upper body settle.
Massage is a tool. Not the whole plan.
If pain or injury keeps limiting what you can do, the goal shouldn’t just be temporary relief.
Sometimes we need to settle things down first. Then restore movement, rebuild control and strength, and progressively get your body doing more again.
That’s why I combine remedial massage with my background in movement, injury management and personal training.
The goal isn’t more treatment. It’s getting back to your life.
📍 Hobart appointments available.
If you’ve tried massage, physio, stretching, Pilates or the gym and you’re still dealing with the same problem, it doesn’t necessarily mean you chose the wrong things.
The problem may be that nobody helped you connect them.
Massage can help reduce tension and guarding. Movement can restore awareness and control. Strength can rebuild capacity. But when each one is treated as a separate answer, it’s easy to keep managing symptoms without ever trusting your body again.
I know that cycle because I lived it. Chronic back pain, an ACL rupture, shoulder surgery, a hip replacement and a broken back forced me to stop looking for one perfect system. No single tool solved everything.
That’s why my work combines Release → Restore → Rebuild → Live.
The goal isn’t to keep you on a massage table or hand you another list of exercises. It’s to help you build a body you can trust—so you can walk, work, train, travel and get back to the parts of life pain has made smaller.
If you’re in Hobart and want hands-on help, book a massage and we’ll start figuring out what’s missing.
If you’re not local—or you want to begin independently—start the free 14-Day Foundations.
Two ways to begin. One goal: a body that supports your life.
I have a few remedial massage appointments available in Hobart next Wednesday afternoon, 16 September.
If something has been niggling, tightening up or stopping you from moving the way you want, we can work on it before it becomes a bigger problem.
The session isn’t just about temporary relief. Where useful, I’ll also show you what to work on between appointments so you can move more freely and get back to doing what matters to you.
Appointments from 4:30 pm. Send me a message to book.

If getting fit feels like a second job, the plan has missed the point.
A client told me today that she wants a better quality of life, but she doesn’t want to spend hours in the gym.
Fair enough.
Exercise should give you more life—not consume what little time and energy you already have.
A short routine with a clear purpose can be far more useful than doing more exercise for the sake of it.
The goal is to move with confidence, keep playing sport and stay capable of doing the things that matter to you.
The gym isn’t the destination.
Life is the reward.

Happy Fathers Day
Remedial massage doesn’t have to be painful to be effective.
Neither does deep-tissue massage.
More pressure is not automatically better.
When your body is already tight, sensitive or guarded, forcing it can sometimes make it protect itself even more.
At my home clinic, I often work on a comfortable mat on the floor while you remain fully dressed.
I combine Shiatsu-style bodywork, deep-tissue techniques and assisted stretching to explore where your body is holding tension and where movement has become restricted.
Assessment and treatment happen together.
I listen to what has been happening, then we begin working.
I feel how your body moves.
Where it resists.
Where it guards.
Where one area may be compensating for another.
We work things out as we go—exploring rather than forcing your body through a predetermined routine.
The first goal is to release unnecessary tension and help restore movement.
But creating more movement is only the beginning.
Your body also needs to learn how to control and support that movement.
That is where my background in personal training, corrective exercise, movement and strength becomes important.
Once we have created an opportunity for change, I can teach you how to reinforce it through breathing, awareness, control and gradually rebuilding strength.
Because the goal isn’t simply to feel looser for a few days.
It is to help you move more comfortably, trust your body again and get back to walking, gardening, training, working, travelling or enjoying the things pain and stiffness have been interrupting.
Release the tension.
Restore movement.
Rebuild control.
Get back to living.
