My journey into the hair and beauty industry stems from a genuine desire to uplift others, combine technical craftsmanship with creative expression, and make a meaningful, positive impact on every person who sits in my chair.
Though I have only been with the Moe & Co. team for a short time, the group has immediately felt like a welcoming, big family, inspiring me every day. I’m Nirmal (Nick), a hairdresser and barber with 9+ years of international experience crafting confidence through hair. My journey began in India where I developed foundational skills in women’s hair, expanded through work in Nepal’s salons, and continues here in Tasmania after gaining experience in Darwin and joining the Moe & Co team. I specialize in both women’s services—cutting, styling, colour transformations, balayage, foiling, and colour corrections—and men’s grooming including precision fades, clipper and scissor work, beard shaping, and modern styling. Having worked extensively with diverse hair types across India, Nepal, and Australia, I’ve developed deep expertise in understanding and enhancing Asian hair—from texture and density to colour work tailored to different skin tones and cultural preferences. My philosophy is simple: hair isn’t just about appearance, it’s about confidence, self-expression, and honoring your cultural identity. I believe in listening deeply to understand your vision, then delivering personalized results that celebrate who you are. ✨Meet the staff

I’m Amelia, and I’ve been part of the Moe & Co family for the past 5 years. I started my apprenticeship with the company at just 16, taking my first steps into an industry that I had already had a love for from a young age.

Even as a little girl, I was always playing around with hair. I’d try giving myself and my sisters haircuts and honestly, they were not good at all, but what do you except from a 5 year old 😂 but looking back, it definitely showed where my passion started!

Starting my apprenticeship at 16 gave me the opportunity to turn that childhood passion into a career. Over the past 5 years, I’ve learnt, grown and developed my skills, built confidence behind the chair and had the opportunity to work alongside some amazing people.

Moe & Co has played a huge part in shaping me into the barber/ stylist I am today, and I’m so grateful for everything I’ve learnt along the way. What started with some very questionable childhood haircuts has turned into a career I genuinely love, and I’m excited to continue growing and seeing where my journey takes me. ❤️
