Another maintenance session for these relatively new dreads, around 6 months old. Blessings!

I do wish I had of taken a before shot of these newly created dreads. They were full of lumps, bumps and blow-outs and this is where the importance of maintenance comes into the picture. New dreads (especially within the first 6 months) if not maintained well, can create lumps and bumps that will turn into something that can not easily be taken out of the dread.
Luckily, these were at a point where I could manage to bring them back to life.
Regular maintenance in the first 6-12 months of new dreads will have you with beautiful dreads for the rest of their life.

This little champion has been waiting a while to get dreaded up. Inspired by his uncle's dreads, he saved up his own money, grew his hair long enough and decided it was time!
These will thicken up and settle down nicely as they mature. Thank you sooo much for your understanding and patience as your appointment time was pushed back today. Total legends!

It was ALL going on in the dread room today... I stupidly double booked myself, something I have honestly never had come to fruition in almost 10 years of dreading. May have had a slight panic attack in front of all my new clients, but was reassured by this wonderful new client, that everything would be okay and it was.
