DAYLIGHT SAVINGS 2016 IS ENDING: HERE’S EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
When does Daylight Savings start in Australia? Do I put my clock forward or backwards? Will my iPhone automatically update?
It happens literally every year but the Daylight Savings switchover confuses the best of us – so here’s a handy guide on how to not ruin everything.
When does daylight savings end?
Sunday, April 3rd is when Daylight Savings wraps up in New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and the ACT.
Officially the changeover happens at 3:00am (AEDT) on Sunday morning.
Do I turn my clock forwards or backwards?
Before you go to bed, turn your clocks back an hour and relish that sweet, sweet extra 60 minutes of sleep.
A handy way to remember it is:
You Spring forward, and Fall back.
(Obviously we don’t say ‘fall’ in Australia but ‘Spring forward and Autumn back’ makes no sense – so just, be cool.)
