Absolute Beauty Inverell

I’ve had quite a few new followers and first time clients over the past few weeks, so I thought I’d re-introduce myself for those of you who don’t know me.

My name is Jess and I have been a qualified beauty therapist for 17 years and a qualified lash tech for 14 years. I did my Diploma of Beauty Therapy at the Australian Institute of Applied Sciences college in Brisbane in 2008-2009.

I briefly worked in another salon in town, before I began doing lashes from home in early 2012 and not long after, Muscles & Minds came up for sale. I took over and at the end of 2013, I moved it into Byron street and changed the name to Absolute Beauty, where I have been ever since, up until this month when I moved the salon to my house and began working from my beautiful new home salon.

I had very bad acne as a teenager, which is the reason I became a beauty therapist - to be able to help others with their skin, as I know firsthand the toll it can take on your self confidence. Once I learned lashes back in 2012, they took off like wildfire. Whilst lashes are now the main service I do, I do still have the passion, knowledge and capacity for skincare and skin treatments! I have stocked and used O Cosmedics in the salon for the past 13 years and I continue to stock and use it in my home salon.

I am loving my new little salon and looking forward to all the lashes, facials and brows to come! Hope to see you all soon! 🌸

Thank you to everyone who helped make this happen, especially my amazing partner Jason, who did most of the work in transforming this room. I honestly couldn’t have done it without him. It looks fantastic, I’m so happy with it and I can’t wait for you all to come and visit! 🫶🏼

Important post - please read!

I have received a lot of messages this morning and just wanted to clear some things up after Jules’ post last night.

I am not selling the salon, I’m not leaving town and I am not closing down! I am just moving home. After 14 years in a shopfront salon, I have made the decision to scale back a bit and go back to working from home, which as some of you know, is where I started doing lashes originally, nearly 15 years ago now! Where has the time gone… Absolute Beauty is continuing on. The only thing that is changing is the salon address and the fact that I will be a sole operator again.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Jules for the past 5 incredible years. I’ve watched her grow so much and she has been an absolute joy to work with, I couldn’t have done it without her. We still make a great team!

I will keep you all updated on the progress of my home salon and will let you know when it’s all done and ready for me to move into! Until then, it’s business as usual.
