Hi Everyone as a mum of 4 kids and 5 grandchildren with a little more time on my hands. I became concerned about family, environmental and personal health risks when using mass commercially produced products that may contain chemicals. I have always believed that everything we need is provided by nature through basic simply natural ingredients along with the power of plants through essential oils.
On a cool day like today can’t help but get the house filled with the aroma of some of my favourite things.
Roasting our coffee beans and home cooked bread.
A great day to be pottering around the house. I might bake some bikkies later.

Hey Guys I was just informed I didn’t do my booking for this week’s Springfield Markets.
I think my mind has been buzzing with all the new products and getting ready for winter needs that time got away from me this month.
When I get home tonight I’ll book in for future markets coming up so rest assured I’ll be there for you next week at Ripley Markets and Springfield Markets the following week.
Of course you’ll find me here at Bellbird Essentials tomorrow till 12pm so if there is something you need that can’t wait for Ripley Markets this will be your best opportunity for this weekend.

Oh by the way did I mention I’m running my first soap making workshop at the end of the month.

What a beautiful community we have in Ipswich.
This week I was blessed by one of our customers surprising me with Citronella Grass and Preserved Lemons from her garden.
Last week another customer shared his Rosemary with me and a few weeks before that another delivery of home grown Patchouli.
I’ve had customers share their excess packaging with me to reuse for packing orders.
Every day I get to talk with the other business in the arcade really connects us on such a unique and special way.
All I can say is thank you for thinking of me and sharing your hard work with me.
I can’t believe how blessed I feel doing what I do everyday and sharing this time, these ingredients and feeling a part of a beautiful community.
Once I finish the products I make with these amazing ingredients I’ll share them with you.

I can see roasting coffee beans and macadamia nuts is going to be fun.

Good morning everyone
Just a reminder that Bellbird Essentials is closed on Tuesdays so I can have a day of rest.
Today’s day of rest will include harvesting mandarins and coffee beans which will be great for some new soap recipes.
Then of course the usual domestic duties that we all have to do.

Today’s Herb Awareness 2026 event. A really lovely day.

What a lovely event we had at Queensland Herb Society hosted today.
A great variety in stallholders and workshops where there was hands on paper making (which I use to do when the kids were small so I’m inspired to get back into it), sourdough making, herb awareness talks and so much more.
I was surprised at how many Ipswich based people came to the event.
So thank you to everyone who came up to me to chat.
Hopefully I’ll be invited back next year and hopefully some of you will make your way out to Bellbird Essentials.
Looking forward to heading back to Springfield Markets next Sunday robelleparklands from 9am-1pm.
