I can’t believe it’s already been 5 years since taking over Hairpare. What a journey it’s been filled with growth, laughter, learning, and so many beautiful transformations along the way.

To all of our amazing clients thank you from the bottom of my heart for your endless love and support. You’ve truly made Hairpare what it is today. A special mention to the incredible clients who have been with me since my apprentice days (11 years ago! 😭) your faith in me, your encouragement, and your loyalty mean more than words can say. You’ve believed in me every step of the way, and I’m forever grateful.

And of course, a huge thank you to Shennai and Summer for everything you do and continue to do for me and the salon, you both mean so much to me 💕
Also, a special shoutout to my sister Tahlia, who recently joined our Hairpare team. She’s been such a huge help behind the scenes in ways many don’t get to see, and I’m so thankful for everything she does!

She’s sweet, stylish, and seriously passionate about hair, meet Summer, our emerging stylist who’s bringing all the good vibes (and triple-shot energy) to the salon! From celebrity hair goals to secret Ripstick skills, here’s a little peek into her world 👇🏼

1. What inspired you to become a hairdresser?

I used to do my mum’s hair at home we couldn’t afford a hairdresser, so every few months she’d buy a box dye and I’d apply it. Seeing how beautiful and confident she felt after always made me smile. So I think it’s cool I can do that for our clients everyday 🥰

2. Go-to coffee order? ☕

Either a vanilla ice latte, triple shot, oat milk and sometimes a little extra ice, or if I can’t be bothered ordering all of that I get an iced mocha on oat milk (I take my coffee very seriously 😉🤣)

3. Favourite thing to do in the salon right now?

I have just started foiling in salon and it’s such an exciting service to be learning!
There are sooooo many different techniques to be able to create personalised blonde tones for our clients so even though I am very early stages of doing this service I just know I’m going to continue growing to love it!

4. Hidden talent no one knows about?

Some would say karaoke but I feel like my pure hidden talent is I can ride a ripstick, no one ever sees it coming 🤣

5. Dream holiday destination? 🌴

Hawaii for the beachy vibes or the UK/Ireland for the scenery and culture! 🤩

6. Signature style you love creating?

Soft beachy curls — they’re the perfect way to finish a service and show off the final look! 🤩

7. Most-used emoji?

🤣🤣🤣🤣 Because if you’re not laughing, you’re crying 😉

8. What’s something you’re excited to learn next?

Colour theory! I can’t wait to confidently select tones that perfectly suit each client. Having that knowledge will be a total game changer 💗
