It is with a heavy heart I have to make this post. After 18 wonderful months of business I am closing down Three Peas. I received a letter yesterday that a complaint was made to the TGA regarding wording I used to advertise my products. I won’t go into details but the complaint was made anonymously and thus can have serious consequences for myself.

Three Peas was only ever something I did for the love and joy of it. I made no profit from selling these products, as every cent went back into supplies etc. Having this formal complaint against my hobby business has essentially taken all the joy and love away. There are changes I could make to comply with the TGA but the constant anxiety and worry of if I’m doing it right, will there be another complaint etc is simply not worth it to me. As failure to comply (regardless of how hard I may try) can result in hefty fines and even jail time (all outlined in the letter I received)

To my wonderful supporters and customers. I thank you. You have all been the reason I do this. Why I worked my ass off to make things for you and the reason I was able to go as far as I did. I will be messaging individuals regarding my advent calendars too.

To the person who made the complaint, if you are following my page. I hope this brings you satisfaction that you have essentially shut down my small handmade business and taken all the joy away from a person who was just doing what she loved. You could have spoken to me regarding concerns but you chose this avenue instead and chosen to remain anonymous and hide behind your computer. Luckily for me I have a real job and a career and this doesn’t “ruin me” I will continue to pursue joy and love from my family.

Australia Post have increased their postage prices this week, and while for some this change will have a huge impact, for three peas, these changes have worked in our favor. Each post bag can now carry up to 5kg as long as the item fits in the bag, and as my products are mainly small heavy items, this is great news.
I believe most orders will be able to fit within a small post bag, which will save you heaps and be able to add more to your order without added postage costs.

All orders requiring postage will now be charged a flat rate fee of $10. And express postage of $20. This means that in the event your order requires a larger post bag, you will not be charged any extra.

The doors to Wood 'n' Shabby officially closed yesterday. Without this business, three peas would never have existed. So thank you, for your support and tireless work. However, we know this is not a sad occasion as the team are still creating and planning new ventures and three peas will be along for the ride with Something Different furniture as well as remaining as a stockists for Her house of resin as it takes over the old shop front 😀❤😎
