Hi everyone, most of you know me, I'm Kitt, and I’ve been part of the dreadlock community for 11 years and have been locking dreads in South East Queensland for 5/6 years. My dreads have been more than just hair, they’ve been a symbol of patience, creativity, and connection. Through creating and maintaining dreads, and volunteering in the community, I’ve met so many incredible people, shared stories, and built bonds that I treasure every day.

Today, I’m making a deeply personal decision: I’m shaving my dreads to raise funds for causes that are close to my heart: cancer research and compassionate patient care. This campaign was inspired by a client who feared losing her dreads during chemotherapy — it reminded me how much dreads are a shield and are strength, and how much support matters.

Every donation is split 50/50 between the Sh*tbox Rally (supporting vital cancer research) and the McGrath Foundation (providing personalised care to people going through cancer). Because both matter.

Our goal is $5,000, and I plan to shave my dreads as soon as we reach it — aiming for late January / early February.

We are delighted to announce that Sarà Magazine’s debut issue — Spring 2025 — has returned from our designer and is ready for its official launch. This first edition marks a defining moment for our publication — a celebration of creativity, fashion, design, and the art of storytelling.

Our Launch Event will take place on 29 November 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, bringing together members of the fashion and creative industries for an afternoon of inspiration and connection. Guests will enjoy two drinks on arrival, canapés, and the opportunity to network with industry professionals and fellow creatives.

Attendees will also have the chance to collect their pre-ordered copies of Sarà Magazine: Spring 2025, the first in our ongoing series of seasonal publications.
