🏆 A win that means so much more than an award.

We are incredibly proud to share that our natural skincare, bath, body and pet range 'Alvèa Australis' has been recognised with the Innovation Excellence Award at the Flagstone Favourites Local Business Awards.

But the story behind this award began long before Alvèa Australis had a name.

Thirteen years ago, our baby daughter was struggling with eczema. Like any parents, we simply wanted to find something gentle that would help her skin. That search led us to create our very first natural bee balm.
We had no idea where that little jar would take us.

It led us to honey bees.
It led us into beekeeping.
It led to years of learning, experimenting and developing genuinely natural products for sensitive skin.

And ultimately, it led us into classrooms and communities through Bees In Schools, sharing our love and knowledge of bees with the next generation.

Today, that original balm has grown into Alvèa Australis, an Australian natural skincare range built from the same values that started our journey thirteen years ago. When I stood there holding this award with my family, it represented far more than innovation in skincare. It represented our daughter.
It represented thirteen years of perseverance, learning and believing in what we were creating. And importantly, it represented the bees.

At a time when our honey bees and beekeepers are facing one of the most difficult periods we have ever experienced, with Varroa mite changing Australian beekeeping forever, this recognition feels particularly emotional.

This win isn't just for Alvèa Australis.
It is in honour of our bees, at the height of their most troubled time. The very bees that started our journey. The bees that helped us create that first little balm. The bees that changed the direction of our family's lives.
And the bees that continue to give us a reason to educate, advocate, innovate and keep going.

From one little jar made for our baby girl to an Innovation Excellence Award thirteen years later.

We had a bee-utiful day celebrating the City of Logan Charitable Trust International Women’s Day this past Sunday at Club Noir Australia.

A big thank you to our beautiful Mayoress Ali Raven and team for hosting such a wonderful event. It was lovely connecting with so many inspiring women (and the few men in the room proudly supporting us). The afternoon was filled with great speeches, delicious food by Logan Catering Co. and plenty of meaningful conversation.

We were also treated to beautiful gift bags to take home, ALVÉA Australis was delighted to contribute to attendee gift bags, a nice pamper gift. A special thank you all of the sponsors and guest speakers, it was a delightful afternoon.
