Meet Jess, our new Clinic Manager at MK Skin. 🤍

As MK Skin continues to grow, so does the team behind it, and welcoming Jess feels like a very exciting next chapter for the clinic.

Some of you may actually recognise Jess, as she worked alongside me when I first opened MK Skin. Having her back now, at a completely different stage of the clinic, feels like a bit of a full-circle moment. 🥹

She’ll be helping keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes, supporting our clients and being a familiar face around the clinic.

What started as one treatment room and a big idea is slowly becoming something much bigger, and I’m incredibly proud of where MK Skin is heading.

Did you know this tiny tool can trigger your skin to produce more collagen and elastin? 👀

This is a Dermapen, the device I use to perform skin needling treatments. It uses fine, controlled micro-needles to create thousands of microscopic channels in the skin. These controlled micro-injuries trigger the skin's natural wound-healing response.

In the weeks that follow, the skin begins repairing and remodelling itself, stimulating new collagen and elastin. This is what can help improve the appearance of acne scarring, uneven texture, enlarged pores and fine lines.

The result we're working towards is smoother, firmer and more refined-looking skin.

Why use a complete DMK skincare routine?

Mixing products from different brands isn't necessarily bad, but it can make it harder to know how your routine is working as a whole.

Different brands formulate their products independently. When you start combining them, you can unintentionally double up on active ingredients, use ingredients at incompatible strengths or create a routine that's simply doing too much.

This is one of the reasons I recommend DMK.

DMK products are designed as a system, with each step intended to complement the next. One product cleanses, another targets, another hydrates and another protects.

My client came to me with persistent redness, inflammation and visibly compromised skin on the finger, which he’d been managing for around 1–2 years, including with prescribed steroid creams.

Starting his treatment plan I'm incorporating DMK Enzyme Therapy to support circulation, lymphatic drainage and overall skin function in the area.

We’re still in the early stages of treating this area, but already we can see a reduction in the intensity of the redness and inflammation, with the surrounding skin appearing less reactive compared with where we started.

This isn’t an overnight result, the focus is on supporting the skin while continuing to monitor how it responds.

What skin concerns is LED Light Therapy best suited for? 💡

LED Light Therapy is a great option for supporting:

✔️ Rosacea-prone skin
✔️ Skin healing & recovery
✔️ Healthy skin ageing

Where LED has its limitations:

It's generally not the first choice for treating:
• Deeper acne scarring
• Stubborn pigmentation
• Significant skin laxity

These concerns often require more targeted treatments, with LED used as a supportive addition rather than the primary treatment.

Like any treatment, the best results come from choosing what's right for your skin, not what's trending.

Skin concerns don't always look the same.

Acne might be one of the most talked-about concerns, but it's far from the only reason clients come through my doors.
