Blessed Day Ritual Face Oil was one of the products that helped shape Grateful Glow, and Australian jojoba oil remains at the heart of every bottle.

Jojoba is beautifully lightweight and closely resembles the natural oils our skin produces. It absorbs without feeling heavy, making it a great choice for daily hydration, skin prone to congestion, and wearing under makeup.

In Blessed Day, it is blended with certified organic moringa oil, natural vitamin E, Harvey-grown honey myrtle and sandalwood oil from Albany.

I don’t just want to know what an ingredient is. I want to know where it came from, how it was grown and whose hands helped bring it to me.

The jojoba oil used in my skincare is sourced producer-direct from a female-owned and operated farm in Queensland. Buying producer-direct gives me greater connection to the ingredient and the people behind it. It means fewer unnecessary steps between the farm and my formulas, greater transparency around its quality, and the opportunity to support an Australian producer doing things with care.

It isn’t always about choosing the easiest option. It’s about choosing the one that aligns with the values behind Grateful Glow.

Derived from the seeds of the babchi plant, bakuchi oil has a long history of use in traditional skincare and is often included in routines seeking a gentler, plant-based approach to the benefits commonly associated with retinol.

It can help support:
• Softer, more supple-feeling skin
• A smoother-looking complexion
• The appearance of an even skin tone
• Skin elasticity and firmness
• A healthy, radiant-looking glow

Bakuchi oil is not the same ingredient as retinol, and it isn’t quite the same as isolated bakuchiol either. I chose the whole oil because it works so well alongside Halo’s other nourishing botanicals.
