Tomatoes are natural astringents. The natural acids found in the tomato help balance the skin's pH levels, making it particularly beneficial for reducing excess sebum in oily and combination skin types.

Containing vitamin C and lycopene to work as powerful antioxidants that lighten hyperpigmentation, dark spots, and acne scars over time to promote a more even skin tone.

Cut a ripe tomato in half and gently rub the juicy side over your freshly washed face. Leave the juice on for 10–15 minutes, then rinse with cool water.

The Bell Jar Sylvia Plath Which fruit has a rich folkoric history, mentioned in most spiritual and mythical texts? The fig. Fig trees appear in the Bible, the Quran, and in Buddhist scriptures. Figs trees were highly valued in ancient cultures. Figs symbolize prosperity, divine favour, or spiritual awakening, such as the Bodhi tree under which Buddha attained enlightenment. Figs symbolise fertility, abundance, and creation and have been associated with deities like Demeter in Greece and Hathor in Egypt and were considered sacred in many civilizations. With an autumn abundance of figs from my two fig trees, I am making, not soap [though, a fig soap might make a great exfoliant soap with all those omega 3 and 6 fatty acid rich seeds], but my favourite jam. Fig and Ginger Jam. Figs offer amazing nutritional sweetness. Rich in calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, vitamins, and fibre. Five fresh figs can provide up to 5% of daily calcium requirements. While nothing can beat a fat fresh fig, fig jam makes delightful figgy treat to have well beyond the fig season.
