Why “more pigment” does not mean better results👇

In the world of advanced permanent makeup, less is always more. Trying to force too much pigment into the skin is a major mistake. Here is why:

1. The “Cold” Color Shift

Skin is not paper; it is a living, translucent tissue. When pigment is packed too densely or placed too deep, light reflects through the skin differently. Instead of looking rich and dark, oversaturated pigment almost always heals cold, gray, blue, or purple.

2. Skin Trauma & Scarring

To pack in excessive pigment, an artist has to work the skin harder. This extra pressure and repetition can cause skin trauma, leading to poor retention, patchy healing, and in worst-case scenarios, micro-scarring.

3. Unnatural Fading

The beauty of modern, premium PMU is that it is designed to fade softly over 1.5 to 2.5 years. This allows us to adjust the color and shape as your face and trends change. Oversaturated PMU stays trapped in the skin for years, turning into a solid, unnatural shadow that is incredibly difficult to remove or correct.

The Touch-Up Philosophy:

This is why I always build color in layers. The first session is to safely test how your skin retains the pigment and build a soft, natural base. The touch-up session is where we perfect the details and gently add saturation if needed.

For the brows, I used a soft powder technique to create a clean, softly defined shape without harsh edges.

The colour is never simply chosen from one bottle. I create a custom pigment mix for each client, taking into account the skin undertone, natural hair colour, eye colour and overall colouring. The goal is a shade that belongs naturally to the face and complements the features rather than competing with them
For the eyes, shaded eyeliner adds soft definition along the lash line, creating more depth and making the eyes appear more expressive without the look of a solid, heavy liner. The shading is carefully diffused so the result feels soft and wearable.

A little swelling around the eyes immediately after the procedure is completely normal and will settle within a few hours, revealing a softer result as the area calms.
