A lovely visit today from our Mayor 💜

I want to take a moment to recognise Joanne Kinnear from Kempsey Beauty Clinic.

Jo has been part of the fabric of Kempsey for an incredible 44 years. Many locals will remember the purple house, but her impact reaches far beyond a single location. Over decades, she has trained and mentored beauty therapists right across the region, from Port Macquarie to Kempsey, through her own beauty school and her teaching at Booroongen.

What stands out is that after all this time, Jo still genuinely loves her work. That kind of passion doesn’t come by accident, it comes from purpose.

As a single mum, Jo raised three children in her salons, working hard, showing up every day, and building a business while raising a family. It’s a story that reflects the quiet strength of so many small business owners in our community.

Thank you for letting me interrupt your busy day Jo!

We absolutely love this Foundation sunscreen ! 🧴
