Your ear might not be the problem. 👀

Sometimes that feeling of pressure, fullness or soreness in your ear can actually be connected to what’s happening in your jaw.

The jaw joint sits directly in front of the ear, with an intricate network of muscles, nerves and connective tissue surrounding both areas.

So when we clench, grind or carry tension through the jaw, it can sometimes be felt much further than we expect.

That blocked feeling.
The pressure.
The ache around your ear.
Even that strange sensation you can’t quite explain.

The body is beautifully interconnected.

And sometimes, the place you feel something isn’t where the tension begins.

So try this today:

Unclench your teeth.
Soften your tongue.
Drop your shoulders.
Take a slow breath.

Then notice your ear.

Does anything feel different?

Your jaw might be telling you more than you realise…

There’s something about spring that makes us want to clear things out. 🌱🍃🥬

Open the windows. Let in the light. Freshen what has felt a little stagnant through the colder months.

Our bodies can benefit from that same intention.

Spring is the perfect time to declutter our insides… to support the body’s natural flow and give a little extra attention to what may have felt heavy or sluggish through winter.

Lymphatic drainage is a gentle way to support the body’s natural processes, encouraging movement of excess fluid and circulation, while helping you feel lighter and less puffy.

And the face deserves a spring clean too.

Our Face Sculpt + Lymphatic treatments combine lymphatic work with sculpting techniques to help de-puff, release tension and bring fresh definition back to the face.

Our lymphatic and face sculpt packages are designed as 4 sessions, one week apart, creating a consistent rhythm of care to activate, stimulate and flush as we move into the warmer months.

A spring clean for the body.
A refresh for the face.
A little space to feel lighter within…

I think it’s important to know the beginnings of a business…

Because behind every business is a story. And often, that story is what shapes everything that comes after it.

Sometimes the beginning isn’t beautiful.

Sometimes it comes from the hardest season of your life. From a place you never imagined you would find yourself in. From something that broke you a little before it gave you the courage to build something new.

That is where Kondōu began.

I don’t share this story for sympathy. I share it because I believe there is something important in knowing that good things can come from dark places.

That sometimes the smallest seed is planted in the moments we least expect.

And perhaps someone reading this is sitting in their own dark place right now, carrying an idea, a dream or a tiny feeling that there could be something more.

I hope this reminds you not to dismiss that little seed.

You never know what it might become.

Because if I hadn’t lived through one of the darkest and most vulnerable seasons of my life, Kondōu may never have existed.

And so, this is where the story begins.

Kondōu was born from a very dark place.

The seed was planted in a mental hospital, during my own experience with postpartum psychosis.

It was an incredibly vulnerable time. I couldn’t speak. I had no connection to my words. I felt completely isolated, living inside myself, desperately trying to escape.

And what I remember craving most was something so simple - touch and connection.

To feel held. To feel safe. To feel human again.

Somewhere in that darkness, the idea for Kondōu was born.

I imagined a place that could sit like a light on a hill… a place for people who were tired, overwhelmed, hurting or simply carrying too much.

A place where you could come and be held. Where you didn’t have to have it all together. Where you could rest, reconnect and restore.

That little seed became Kondōu.

And while it has grown and evolved, the heart of it has never really changed...

We often notice tension in our shoulders, but forget to check the place we may be holding just as much… our jaw.

Stress, concentration, busy days, shallow breathing and the simple act of “holding it together” can all show up here.

Take a moment to soften your face.
Let your teeth part.
Let your tongue rest.
Take a slow breath.
And give your jaw permission to release.

Because sometimes the body is holding tension long after the moment has passed.

Check in with your jaw right now.
Is it resting… or is it holding?

Save this for the next time you notice yourself clenching. 🤎

SPRING SKIN RESET🌼

A change in season is a beautiful reminder to pause and check in with what your skin and your body actually needs.

After the cooler, drier months, your skin barrier may be feeling a little depleted. Spring is the perfect time to gently reset, rather than overwhelm your skin with a whole new routine.

A few simple ways to care for your skin this spring:

🌿 Support your barrier
Choose gentle cleansers and nourishing moisturisers. Look for ingredients like ceramides, squalane and fatty acids to help replenish and protect the skin barrier.

💧 Keep hydration close
As temperatures rise, continue hydrating from the inside out. Water-rich foods, plenty of fluids and a good moisturiser can all help support healthy, supple skin.

✨ Gently exfoliate
If your skin feels dull after winter, introduce gentle exfoliation rather than aggressive scrubbing. Think remove, renew, replenish.

🤲🏻 Bring touch back into your routine
A few minutes of facial massage can be a beautiful way to connect with your skin, release tension and encourage circulation.

🌸 Create a little more space
Spring self-care doesn’t have to mean adding more to your day. Open the windows. Take your morning tea outside. Walk barefoot on the grass. Spend a few minutes in the sun. Breathe deeply.

Your skin is living tissue. It responds to the environment, your habits, your stress and the way you care for it.

So this spring, less chasing perfection, more nourishment.

A little reset. A little softness.
And a reminder to care for yourself as gently as you care for your skin. 🤍
