Today I lock the doors to The Beaute Spot for the very last time.

This isn’t just the end of a businessit’s the end of a journey that has been a part of my life for over half of it.

At just 14 years old, while I was still in Grade 8, I started here working Thursday nights and Saturdays. Back then, I was just a young girl eager to learn, never imagining where this little salon would take me.

In 2009, I became a qualified Beauty Therapist. From there, I worked my way up to Salon Manager, and eventually, I had the incredible privilege of becoming the owner of the salon that had already become my second home.

One of the greatest gifts of this journey was working alongside the very best therapist I know my mum. Learning from her every day was something I never took for granted. Watching her passion, dedication, and the way she cared for every single client shaped the therapist and business owner I became. Thank you, Mum, for teaching me not only this industry, but what it means to genuinely care for people. It truly was a dream to learn from the very best.

This salon has been so much more than four walls. It has been a place filled with laughter, tears, celebrations, friendships, and unforgettable memories. It challenged me, pushed me, humbled me, and gave me opportunities I will forever be grateful for.

To my beautiful clients thank you. Thank you for trusting me, supporting me, celebrating my wins, standing beside me through the hard times, and allowing me to be a small part of your lives. So many of you walked through these doors as clients and became lifelong friends.

To my incredible staff, both past and present, thank you for your hard work, loyalty, laughter, and for helping make The Beaute Spot such a special place.

To my family and friends, thank you for believing in me even when I doubted myself. Your support has carried me through every high and every low.

I also want to acknowledge Lisa. While this chapter has been incredibly hard for me to close, I know it’s just as emotional for her. This salon was originally her baby, built with so much love, passion, and dedication. I was fortunate enough to grow up in it, learn in it, and eventually have the honour of taking over what she created. It became my baby too, and I hope I’ve made you proud by continuing the legacy you started.

Closing this chapter is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. But I’m also choosing to look forward with hope and excitement for what’s next.

I’ll always be incredibly proud to have been the boss babe behind The Beaute Spot. This chapter may be ending, but my story is far from over.💕

One thing I’ll miss most is this view. The snowy mountain has welcomed me to work through so many winters, quietly reminding me that every season has its time.

It’s funny how the little things become the memories that stay with you. The morning drive, the crisp air, the familiar faces, and a place that has been my second home for so many years.

One more day. One more drive. Closing of one chapter before a new one begins. ❄️✨

⭐️ With only 6 weeks remaining until The Beaute Spot closes its doors, I wanted to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for your kind words, encouragement, support, and understanding during this transition. It truly means more than you know. ❤️

I would also like to share that Laura has unfortunately had to finish up earlier than planned due to an injury. I cannot thank her enough for her friendship, love, support, and dedication throughout this journey. There have been many days where I honestly couldn’t have gotten through without her. We wish her a speedy recovery and all the very best for whatever comes next. 🌸

On a personal note, I am incredibly excited to announce that I will be joining the amazing team at Quay Day Spa in Bellerive. After 18.5 years in the beauty industry, I am looking forward to this new chapter and the opportunities ahead. I will be officially starting 28th July 2026

This decision has been one of the hardest we’ve ever had to make. The Beaute Spot has been so much more than just a business it has been our second home, a place filled with laughter, friendships, growth, and so many unforgettable memories.

Over the past 23 years, we have had the privilege of meeting and caring for the most incredible clients. Many of you walked through our doors as clients and became lifelong friends, and for that we will be forever grateful.

Both myself and Lisa feel incredibly proud to have been part of not only the beauty industry, but also such a supportive and caring community. The love and support we have received throughout the years has meant more to us than words will ever truly express.

To all of our staff, past and present thank you. Thank you for your hard work, loyalty, support and the role each of you played in making The Beaute Spot what it became. The friendships, memories and laughs shared over the years will always hold a special place in our hearts.
