Did you know that hearing loss is associated with an increased risk of dementia?

Hearing difficulties can make conversations harder and lead to social isolation, which is why looking after your hearing is so important!

Sometimes, hearing difficulties can be caused by something as simple as impacted earwax.

At Clear Ears Townsville, we help our community hear clearly and stay connected to the people who matter most.

This Dementia Awareness Week, encourage your loved ones to have their hearing checked.

We don't require clients use ear drops before visiting us?

They are of course welcome to if they'd like, however often times we find it much more beneficial to get people in sooner, rather than waiting for multiple days with blocked ears.

Don't let yourself suffer for 3 or more days through symptoms, we'll use oils during the appointment if need be, but they aren't always required and sometimes the drops can even make things worse depending on how they've been used!

Ear fact: Dogs can hear much higher-frequency sounds than humans can.

Humans generally hear up to around 20,000 Hz, while dogs can hear frequencies of roughly 45,000 Hz or higher.

That’s why your dog might suddenly prick up their ears at a sound you can’t hear at all their ears are picking up a whole world of sound outside our hearing range!
