Just realised l haven’t posted our last week in Italy.
After Caserta we travelled to Bari, which was our base for the next 5days. We did a day trip to Polignano mare, and Alberobella. They were so unique little places !!
Then we spent 2 days in Matera with an overnight stay in an original cave dwelling turned air BNB that also offered a beautiful underground spa experience . To say it was magical is an understatement , like OMG wow. 🤩 then climbed the mountain the following morning and saw the original cave dwellings that have not been transformed into accommodation.
Then back to Bari for a few more days. We watched ladies make pasta from the scratch in the streets outside there houses and took some home to try and replicate a dish!!

Then our final couple of days were a back in Rome. Where we ran into these beautiful smiling faces 😃
I’m back in the salon tomorrow, can’t wait to see you all!! Xx

Last day in Sorrento then off to Caserta to the Royal Palace. It’s beautiful and enormous, loved every minute, l think my favourite thing was the painted ceilings and the gardens, where we found a crypt erected in 1787. Another must visit if travelling to Italy.

Day trip on a fast ferry yesterday to Almalfi and Positano. Great day out . But so many people 😱

We arrived in Sorrento couple of days ago. First day was walking around and some sightseeing. Yesterday was Pompeii!! Did you know they had takeaway shops in Pompeii in 79AD 😳 l didn’t either but they did !!!
It was amazing!!

Our final day in Palermo, 🥹 we spent it down at Mondella beach. We were sad to leave Palermo, we had an amazing host called Marco, and this city is just so welcoming and friendly. Nonetheless we boarded our overnight ferry/ship to Naples and then onto Sorrento for the next 5days.

Cefalù was a bit overcast when we arrived. We had pizza on the beach, then a look around and 3/4 way up to the castle it started to pour rain. We nearly got washed away on our way back done 😬

We did a bus tour from Palermo to Segesta and Erice, they both blew me away !! Segesta is an Ancient Greek temple ruin, and a theater, and Erice is a town built on top of a mountain 🥹😳 l don’t know how they managed to do any of these things, let alone that there still standing 😱😳

Palermo, we arrived and instantly feel in love, from the monstrous rock that greeted us at the airport to the warmth of the people and the rustic character!! This place is a must visit.❤️

Few days behind in posting pics, these are a few from lake Garda and Milan. Unfortunate l was not feeling very well while here, so didn’t take as many photos as l would like, so now l will have to go back at some stage 🤣
