After taking a little time for myself, I'm excited to say that my books are officially open for new clients again! If you've been thinking about booking in, now's the perfect time.

Just a little update on my appointment availability and ongoing trading hours.

🗓️ Trading Hours

💅 Monday: 11:00am onwards (last booking 6:00pm)
💅 Tuesday: 11:00am onwards (last booking 6:00pm)
💅 Wednesday: 11:00am onwards (last booking 6:00pm)
💅 Thursday: 11:00am onwards (last booking 8:00pm)
💅 Friday: 11:00am onwards (last booking 8:00pm)
💅 Saturday: 12:00pm onwards (last booking 6:00pm)

💜 Appointment Information
• All appointments are booked in 3-hour time slots. This gives us plenty of time so I never have to rush your service, especially when you've booked nail art.
• I've updated my online booking system so appointments are now available in 30-minute intervals, giving you more flexibility and a wider range of appointment times to choose from.
• After booking, you'll automatically receive a link to my Salon Guidelines. Please take a moment to read through them and tick the box to confirm you've read and understood them. I'll be able to see when they've been completed, and I can then confirm your appointment. If you don't receive the guidelines, please let me know and I'll happily send them to you manually.

✨ Gel-X Extensions from $50 (includes gel polish and basic nail art on one finger per hand)
✨ Gel Manicures from $25 (price may vary depending on the nail art selected)

Today marks 4 years since my dad passed away.

For those who don't know me, I thought I'd share a little about my dad and how I ended up where I am today.

When I was 18, I completed my nail tech certificate. It had always been my dream after growing up watching my neighbour do nails. But then life happened. I had my daughter, and while we were looking for a home, I realised my dad needed help. Instead of finding a 2-bedroom house for us, we found a 3-bedroom so he could move in too.

Not long after, Dad was diagnosed with early onset frontotemporal dementia, which we later found was linked to an ABI he suffered in a fire truck accident when he was around 19 or 20.

For almost 9 years I was his full-time carer. We eventually had support workers help with showering and sit with Dad while I went to appointments. During that time, getting my nails done was the one thing I always did for myself. Dad would always ask to see them when I got home. One day I came home with a plain set because I was short on time, and he looked at me and said, "What's wrong?" He knew I never had "boring" nails. ❤️

In June 2022, Dad was admitted to hospital. After six long weeks and discovering he was having silent seizures, I went to visit him on this day four years ago and found that he had passed away. My world changed forever in that moment.

After he was gone, I had no idea what I was going to do. Then I thought, why not finally follow my dream and start my own nail business?

I wanted Dad to be part of the name somehow. After months of thinking, Phoenix Nail Studio was born. It might sound a little corny to some, but to me it's my new chapter rising from Dad's ashes. The phoenix, the bird of fire, and Dad being a firefighter... it just felt right. ❤️

I can't wait to keep growing Phoenix Nail Studio, share my love of nails and nail art with you all, and I'm so excited that I'm also working on something new to add to the business soon. ♡

Just a little update.

For those who are new here, this time of year is always a little difficult for me. It's coming up to the anniversary of losing my dad. I was his full-time carer for almost 9 years while he battled dementia, and after a 6-week stay in hospital, he passed away on 3 August 2022.

Because of this, I'll be taking a few days to spend some time with my family and look after myself. I'll be opening appointments for new clients from 5 August onwards.

If you've already reached out about booking, I'll be messaging you first once I sort out my availability. After those appointments are booked, I'll post any remaining availability here for everyone else.

✨ Availability Update! ✨

Hey everyone!
Just a little update on my availability. Over the next few days I'll be going through my calendar and opening up some extra booking times.
With Square, I enter my available hours and it automatically generates appointment times, which isn't always ideal. If you're hoping for a time that isn't showing but falls within my opening hours, please send me a message! As long as I don't have another booking around that time, I'm more than happy to book you in manually.

I'm currently smashing out my second-last assignment for my Diploma of Graphic Design, which is due this Sunday, so I'll be updating my Square calendar in between study sessions.

I'll post on Facebook and Instagram as soon as the new availability is live, and I'll also be getting back to everyone who has already messaged me.

I'm also in the process of streamlining my pricing by introducing nail art tiers, making it much easier to know the cost of your set before your appointment.
