The gem of the sea, and one of my most loved semi-precious treasures.

I've spent many many years learning about, and surrounded by, these beautiful gems. The connection to the ocean, the way they hold the light and glow, the fact that they're a by-product of self defence, the huge array of shapes and colours to suit anyone..... there's everything to love about the humble pearl.

You'll be seeing a lot more pearl jewellery slowly emerging on this page, and I couldn't resist sharing a pic of these beauties, available for purchase in several pieces very soon.

These are AA-AAA grade high lustre freshwater Keshi (otherwise known as Keishi or Cornflake) pearls. Keshi pearls are unique as they have no nucleus; the bead that is inserted into the mollusc as the intrusion to start the creation of a pearl.
Keshi pearls are formed when the mollusc ejects the pearl bead nucleus, but still continues to make a pearl. Due to Keshi pearls being solid nacre, they are known for their incredible lustre and fabulous, natural shapes.

Hi everyone, I'm still here! 👋👋

It's been a hot minute, so hello to all my lovely followers & supporters. I hope you all had a great festive season and are settling into 2023 nicely.

With all the shenanigans of Christmas, New Years, my other small business, some personal challenges and some big events to focus on (our eldest starting school for example 😱), I've had to temporarily focus my time & energy elsewhere.

However, I certainly haven't forgotten about this exciting venture and the wheels have been quietly turning to ensure I can successfully deliver quality, beautiful handmade pieces to my customers. A plan is underway to see this business out in the open at a market or two throughout the year, and also hopefully see some stock proudly displayed & available for purchase in some local stores.
