The Cholesterol Controversy | Dr Paul Mason x Dr Peter Brukner 04/04/2022

There is a lot of information (and disinformation!) about cholesterol out there.
I listened to this excellent interview yesterday put out by 'Defeat Diabetes Australia' - a really definitive resource of scientifically based information for managing your own health and risk factors for heart disease (and other chronic disease)

Just about to hit level 4 lockdown in NZ.
How lucky is my partner Malcolm Bull to be locked in with a keto health coach intent on optimising our immune health 😜😊

In self isolation? Got time on you hands?
Start cooking real food and nourish your bodies with nutrients needed for a healthy immune system.
Cutting out sugar and starchy carbs, eating plenty of greens/veg, getting required quality protein and healthy fats will make a difference.

Maybe it’s time to try a bit of on-line yoga... or start a bit of daily meditation?

For those with extra time on their hands.. what are you going to do with this opportunity?

Can Old Doctors Learn New Tricks? 11/11/2019

Doctor Tro, a LOW CARB advocate, writes great blogs posts! (Dr. Tro is a board-certified Internal Medicine & Obesity Medicine Physician. Dr. Tro received his medical degree from Touro Medical College and completed his Internal Medicine Residency in the Yale New Haven Health System at Greenwich Hospital, serving as Chief Medical Resident during his time there.)
He truly understands the difficulties in facing your doctors and specialists who have no knowledge or interest in how a low carb/ketogenic/real food approach can be used to improve health and avoid endless prescriptions of medications.
It reminds me of my own mothers experience facing her GP and Cardiologist. Diane Bedggood

Can Old Doctors Learn New Tricks? I don’t think this doctor has much faith in my ability to be successful. I’m sure he has encountered endless patients with new diet programs, almost all of whom have failed in the end...

Big Congratulations to Trine Sif for completing her first marathon on a ketogenic diet! (Berlin 29 Sept)

Its a brave move when the experienced runners in your club are shaking their head and telling you you are crazy for not using sports drinks and gels!

Sif carried on doing her thing and had an awesome run.
'No cramps, no dizziness - felt fresh in my head all the way. And no stomach ache. It went perfect.' 'Afterwards I was still fine and walked off to the hotel'

Its great to have the belief in the science and then be able to successfully prove it to work in your own body!

Yay Sif!! xx
