Lock Hairdressing
I’m a hairdresser that absolutely loves my job. I get a kick out of making people feel good about What is my page about? ... Well my page is about my business.
I started life as a hairdresser way back when I was 14 as a Saturday girl in my local hairdressing salon. I was always keen to get stuck in so I started cutting and colouring from an early age, dragging all my friends in to the salon as my guinea pigs!! Once I had the bug of chatting to clients and making them feel happy about themselves I knew I wanted to make a career out of it. I trained in England in a hairdressing school in my local town of Southampton for 2 years to get my certificates. I was then very lucky as my boss put me straight on to the salon floor (to work as a real hairdresser and not a trainee anymore) in a sink or swim situation, I swam thankfully!! I then worked in the same salon for over 6 years building up the salon and my own clients. I then managed to salon for a short while until I made the decision to come to Australia! I worked for a few places in Oz, firstly in Adelaide then a few in Sydney, where I later met my now husband!! We then travelled back to London for a few years where I had the best opportunity to further my career working in a very busy salon in Baker Street. This was awesome, I met so many new hairdressers from all over the world and learnt many new techniques. We have now returned to Oz with our beautiful baby and I have started business on my own. I still to this day love my job, and more importantly, love making people happy. I hope to see you one day in my funky little salon :)

🎄🎅🏻🎄🎅🏻 as many of you are aware, every year I collect non perishable items to gift as a Christmas hamper to someone who is in need of a little something. I will continue to do 3 hampers. How it works; I’m asking for people to donate 3 of the same item, if you donate, you can nominate someone to receive one. Delivery is the first week of December, if your recipient is chosen at random, I will ask you to accompany me in the delivery. Let’s make someone’s Christmas that bit more special this year 🎅🏻🎄🎅🏻🎄 #🎅🏻🎄🎅🏻🎄

I had the most amazing experience today being involved at Blaxland High School and the World's Greatest Shave. I (with a little help from some staff and students to shave the principal and my longtime client Emma Le Marquand. Thank you for inviting me 🥰
Photo dump from July. I’ve been pretty slack lately with social media but here’s a little insight as to what I’ve been up to lately 💜
It’s been a while!! Loving these autumnal tones 🧡❤️
This is the post I have been putting off for as long as I can. As of Monday 4th May, I will be introducing a small increase to my prices. I try to do yearly small increases instead of big ones less often. I haven’t raised the price of my haircuts for 2 years to try to absorb as much as I possibly can. Sorry people, those who know, I know understand 💚
We have a new addition to our family. Meet Shaddow, our resident salon puppy. Our gorgeous black Labrador girl 🐶💜
We’re not all perfect. This was the first time I got to look after this lady for her son’s wedding. It’s the first time she’s had foils since she lost all her hair in chemo. I went in with a level 9 blonde and a high lift tint. After we washed and dried it, we decided it wasn’t blonde enough (second picture) so we went back in with some low level lightener to achieve a look we were both happy with 💛
