I'm taking a short break from the 12th until the 18th March. I won't be accessing my messages as I take a digital detox and will reply on my return. See you soon 🌈
20/01/2026
Happy New Year! I'm back after an extended break over Christmas and ready to go!
As we head towards the end of January (how did that happen!) it's already very booked with only a couple of spots left until April.
With that in mind can I please ask that if you have anything booked in with me for the next couple of weeks and you're not going to make it, could you please cancel with as much notice as possible rather than waiting for the reminders. That way I can offer the space for others on the waiting list.
When you make a booking, that slot is kept just for you and no one else can book that time. When people cancel long held appointments at the last minute it means that someone who really wanted that appointment misses out.
I understand that last minute changes come up all time, life is full of curve balls! But if you do know ahead of time, pretty please just send me a message or cancel online.
Thank you so much 🙏🌈🙏

I'm taking an extended break after another amazing and super busy year.
Please note I will be switching off completely and won't be checking messages during this time. I will answer any enquiries when I'm back on board on the 20/01/2026 🙏
Bookings can be made online for the new year, it's already filling fast!
Thank you so much for your continued support for another amazing year. I feel so blessed to have so many wonderful clients and I can't wait to see you all in 2026.
I hope you all have a wonderful and restful time with family and friends 💚
Gwen 🙏

Lymphatic Drainage and Cellulite : What MLD can and can't do 💧
What causes cellulite?
Cellulite is a complex structural issue within the skin with multiple causes, including:
🌱hormones
🌱connective tissue formation
🌱circulatory issues
🌱genetics
🌱lifestyle factors
It's very common and is thought to affect approximately 85% of women.
💧Can MLD help?
🧪There have been a few studies that show some positive changes. But, it should be noted that these tests were run for between one and four hours every day for 10 consecutive days! One study also included compressive bandaging and another used a specialised machine to assist with drainage - so not your average situation.
What can you realistically expect in a treatment?
💥Temporary improvement in the texture and appearance of the skin due to the accumulated fluid being removed from the tissues.
💥Increased circulation
🪄Unfortunately MLD alone is not a miracle cure for cellulite, despite what some will tell you. But it's a great addition to keeping your tissues healthy and allows for the removal of waste and fluid from around the fat cells which over time can lead to improvement.
🔑Consistency is key - do not expect a miracle after one hour on the table - what is happening to your body the other 23 hours of the day.
Other tools to add:
💥Healthy anti inflammatory diet
💥Regular Exercise
💥Dry brushing
💥Deeper targeted massage around affected areas
💥Hydration
💥Regular MLD sessions as part of your treatment plan
The most important treatment of all...
🙏Self love and acceptance - we are human beings and we come in all shapes and sizes and have lumps and bumps - remember what you see online is not reality. Be kind to yourself, you are beautiful just the way you are 💚

🌶️ Variety is the spice of life - what keeps my work so interesting is seeing so many different ways that I can assist with the lymphatic system. From post cancer rehabilitation to easing congested sinus, no day is ever the same 💚

💚The Role of the Lymphatic System in Pulmonary Health
🫁 The lymphatic system within the lungs is integral to maintaining pulmonary health.
💧It is responsible for clearing excess fluid, waste products, and pathogens from the lungs, which are drained into lymph nodes located throughout the pulmonary system, including those around the sternum.
😪 In response to threats such as infections, the system increases mucus production, which helps to trap and expel harmful substances through coughing or sneezing. That’s why it’s important to cover your nose and mouth! 🤧😷
🫁 If the pulmonary lymphatic system is not functioning effectively, it can lead to increased inflammation and fluid accumulation in the lungs. This may elevate the risk of developing chronic respiratory conditions such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and emphysema. Additionally, infections like COVID-19 can cause lung scarring, further straining the pulmonary system.
🧪 The lymphatic vasculature is now recognised as a key regulator of lung homeostasis and immune surveillance. Changes in lymphatic structure and function are observed in nearly all respiratory diseases, and lymphatic dysfunction is increasingly implicated in the initiation and progression of lung disease.
👊Steps you can take to keep your respiratory system healthy 👊
🧘 Take deep breaths throughout the day – chronic shallow breathing can cause carbon dioxide to build up inside your body, deep breathing will increase the amount of oxygen to your lungs helping keep your respiratory system healthy– so stop and BREATHE!
💧Stimulate your lymph nodes regularly, paying attention to:
💧Head and neck nodes (terminus)
💧Under the armpit (axilla)
💧On each side of the sternum with gentle taps (mediastinal)
🌱 Eat an anti inflammatory diet
🧖♀️Incorporate eucalyptus steams when particularly congested.
💆♀️ Regular Lymphatic drainage massage incorporating work on the breath and thorax and surrounding lymph nodes.

Did you know that taking care of your lymphatic system can be of benefit to your during your fertility and IVF treatment?
How Lymphatic Drainage can help:
🌱 Hormonal Balance: Increased lymphatic flow helps clear excess hormones as well as environmental toxins from the body. Estrogen dominance is a common issue in fertility struggles, where an excess of estrogen relative to progesterone and can occur when hormones are not effectively eliminated from the body. This can lead to weight gain, irregular menstrual cycles and mood swings.
🌱 Increased circulation and cell nutrient delivery: Good lymphatic function supports overall blood flow and tissue oxygenation and can help increase circulation in the abdominal and pelvic areas, important for ovarian health, endometrial receptivity, and general vitality.
🌱 Immune Boosting - Chronic inflammation and sluggish immune function can get in the way of conception. By supporting your lymphatic system and enhancing the detoxification pathways we can increase your immune response and lower the risks of infection.
🌱 Managing Inflammation - Chronic low-grade inflammation can negatively impact several aspects of reproductive health, including ovulation, egg quality, and hormonal signalling. When the lymphatic system is sluggish or stagnant, it contributes to a more inflammatory internal environment. This can make it harder for the body to maintain optimal conditions for conception and healthy hormone balance.
🌱 Rest & Relaxation – the gentle nature of lymphatic drainage has a calming effect on your nervous system, taking you out of the sympathetic nervous response (fight or flight) to the parasympathetic state (rest and digest).
This transition is important for reducing stress and promoting healing, encouraging relaxation, lowering anxiety levels. When you are relaxed, your body is better able to recover, maintain hormonal balance, and support reproductive health— all important factors to consider during your fertility journey.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) performed correctly can also assist with the side effects of treatment such as:
💧Abdominal bloating
💧Constipation
💧Fluid retention
