The body doesn't just keep the score, when the nervous system gets triggered it's a pattern that the body remembers. When you look at the bigger picture, it's a cascading effect from one system to the next. Chinese medicine understands this holistic scope. A blockage or Qi and blood that isn't just seen from the nervous system but the whole body system that affects the shen (mind).

This year has been a roller coaster, chronic illness, fibro and chronic fatigue has taken me on a journey. All my plans fell apart. I was doing too much, expecting too much of myself without the internal support. Lack of yin and yang and Qi.
When the body is depleted, nervous system capacity diminishes, life becomes overwhelming and challenging even for what seems normally easy.
I stepped away from my business for a while and let things run on autopilot.

A deep dive into somatic therapy, TRE, changes in diet and lifestyle. Finally I feel like there is a clear path forward. Now I'm bringing that into people's lives. Combining somatic therapy with Acupuncture and Chinese medicine knowledge.
This involves helping people feel into the uncomfortable emotions that get trapped in our nervous system. Using techniques that move the emotions, through acceptance, through gentle touch, Acupuncture and acutonics.

If you suffer from overwhelm, anxiety, pain, chronic illness that just won't shift, It's probably a pattern trapped in your nervous system. You can learn some great tools that work with the whole body. Not just talk therapy that sits on the surface. It's integrated, it's deep work, it's alignment.
I've started a new page dedicated to somatics combined with Chinese medicine knowledge.

From the heart

As we begin a fresh new year with new intentions, it’s a beautiful moment to reassess where we are coming from and pour new love into our future selves. I’ve never been one for online platforms, but with this digital era, its become hard to avoid. SO as I step into 2026 with you, I want to set the intention of sharing more of myself with the world, because how can anyone benefit when no one knows who you are, right?

The heart in Chinese medicine is the emperor or keeper of the mind. We cannot step forward in life without the heart in mind. A friend said to me the other day that when I walk, I walk with my head forward and then my body follows. That information changed everything. Now I walk with my heart forward, and my body is in alignment. I couldn’t be more grateful. When we start mornings with gratitude, the rest of the day seems to be bright and forever giving. Remember, we are here to experience this life from the soul perspective.

What are your intentions for 2026? How will you show up for yourself? If every day were a new year, what would you want to get out of it? The last few years have certainly tested us all, only to awaken in us the potential we have lying dormant beneath the surface. The sleeping dragon amidst the chaos, just waiting for you to recognise your own power. In Chinese astrology ,the coming year is the year of the fire horse. A year for running forwards, investing in yourself, and bringing yourself to your full potential.

Let's be brave, positiv,e and courageous, embody the world we want to see and inspire those around us to do the same. The year of the snake has shed its skin and revealed the shiny new being beneath, ready to face the world. Let's take a moment to check in with our foundations, our support team and how we show up for ourselves. With the coming intensity and change, now is the time to set intention, review where we have been and what can be done to ensure we land on our feet running forwards.

Five elements and emotions. The five elements of Chinese medicine is a model that works with our emotions by moving from one to the other in order to release blockages, reduce overwhelm and imbalances. When one element is out of balance it can create an excess of one emotion, disrupting the cycle. For example, if the wood element is imbalanced, it will generate excess anger and overpower the controlling metal element. By stimulating points on the body that relate to its element counterpart or controlling cycle, the body releases its overpowering emotion, bringing it back into balance.
