This is a great explanation of fascia, you know how I love fascia 🤩

Your fascia isn’t just connective tissue — it’s a sensory network. Fascia is packed with receptors that help your brain understand where your body is in space. This ability is called Proprioception — your internal GPS for movement and balance. When fascia is healthy, hydrated, and mobile, these signals travel smoothly between your body and brain. But when fascia becomes tight, stiff, or restricted, it can disrupt movement patterns, posture, and coordination. That’s why practices like stretching, slow movement, balance work, and myofascial release may improve body awareness. Movement isn’t just exercise. It’s communication between your brain and fascia. #fascia #proprioception #bodyawareness #connectivetissue #viyalum
