I’m having a very rare day off again today after a bit of a scary asthma day Tuesday.
I’ve been given the all clear by the doctor this morning so all good to return to work tomorrow, with strict instructions to rest up.
BUT, I’m already bored, being the type of person who finds sitting still virtually impossible I need some Netflix, Stan or Prime suggestions. Help me out!! Going slowly mad and it’s still only morning 🫠
Obviously I could do some admin but that’s not exactly resting is it?
I bindged ‘I will find you’ and can highly recommend!! Something like that would be amazing.

So what is this Laser Tattoo Toning you speak of? (essentially it’s lightening)

🩶It’s completely normal for older brow tattoo pigment to lose warmth and appear cooler, greyer or slightly ashy as it ages.
🧡 It’s also quite common for it to sometimes have a warm or peachy look to it.
It just depends on the type of ingredients in the pigment that’s been used.
This can just be part of the pigment aging process and doesn’t mean anything has gone wrong.
Laser toning, as I have done in these 2 examples, ~ 1 cool/ash, and 1 warm, peach ~ can gently soften and lighten these aged tones by removing the excess pigment, creating the perfect canvas for fresh, natural-looking colour at your next touch-up. 🤎

I had an incident Friday that has really rattled me. As the girls at will confirm I was a wreck. Shaking, upset & it took me hours to move past. In fact I still clearly haven’t moved past it.
I’m a people pleaser, I love making people feel welcome, special & truly cared for while they’re in my rooms. Confrontation is not my thing.
I had a client call to cancel an appointment made online with a gift voucher. We hadn’t met before. She called to reschedule a few hours before her appointment because she was feeling unwell - which I appreciate - however the 48hr cancellation policy terms are clear, on the booking system, sms confirmation etc.
After explaining that unfortunately the booking deposit will be deducted off the voucher I was bluntly told to ‘keep my f**king money’ & hung up on. This isn’t ok. ☹️
That 90 min block of time actually costs us money. It’s not just time where we can put our feet up & have a rest.
Last week a 4 hr appointment was no-showed. That was a double appointment for 2 types of tattoo. That cost me 2 x different anaesthetics ordered for her. No deposit taken. My fault.
Our outgoings don’t stop when we don’t have clients scheduled. Rent, insurance, registrations, council fees, product wastage, electricity…. It all needs to be paid. It’s not just our time. That time is our income. It could have been used to treat someone else.
I get it, Winter brings with it sickness. Would we call JetStar expecting a refund on the day for the flight because we’re unwell, forgot, double booked ourselves or just can’t make it?
Please if you know a small business, know this…. Ownership is not for the feint hearted. Our current economy & government are already causing many of us to struggle. We have cancelation policies in place to help keep our doors open.
Please respect your hairdressers, clinicians, beauty therapists, nail techs, dog groomers, PT’s, whoever else’s time & policies. Otherwise watch them disappear. 🫥
